Good point brought up by this cartoon. What are the priorities of the city council and the mayor? Why does chief of staff Jodi Schwan receive a $98,000 salary to shuffle papers and to act as a liason between the council and the mayor? You would expect political corruption from Mayor Daley in Chicago. But not in the Best Little City in America. A well-staffed police department should be the city’s top priority.

I just find it interesting that De finds the facade appearance of a building more important then public safety.
