These are the signs I submitted to the UnConvention project. Voting is up and running. They will print the top 50 winners. I think there is about 300 entries so far. The signs will be put around the Republican National Convention in MPLS. You can vote for as many as you want, just not more than once. Go vote!

Dissent is Patriotic, only when you are promoting the freedom of other people(and yourself.)

Yeah, tell historians that Ben Franklin’s dissent didn’t matter in the birth of our country. Pretty amazing founder considering he never dripped one drop of blood on the battlefield. Neither did Martin Luther King Jr. You don’t have to take up arms, or wear flag pins on your lapel to be patriotic. Patriotism is a shared ideal about ones country that has nothing to do with killing foreigners. But you already knew that . . . baaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.

I tried to vote for you, but apparently things won’t be up and running until this afternoon.
I’m hoping in voting I can rank the “Neoconvention” sign or vote for more than one along with yours too.
I will disagree with you on the “Freedom Is Free”,sign, though. It took patriotism and dissent of those before us. It’s now being sold out by those we “elected” and exchanged for corporate fascism. We have to fight to keep or restore our freedoms.
But they dissented to BE free. You ARE free and you use it as a license to dissent.
Dissent also takes purpose, and usually it has to be considered ‘selfless’ to be patriotic. You just want MORE STUFF! And don’t want to do anything for it.
The First one should read “A Pathetic Country usually doesn’t make History.” ’cause the US already has!

the sign ‘Freedom is Free’ refers to FREE speech and practicing free speech to keep our freedoms. I labeled the sign on the site so hopefully people get it.
