I went to the SF city council meeting last night to ask some questions about the Sanford land donation to the city. I wanted to get the ones in the know on record. This is what I have so far:

• The donation still needs to be approved by the council, that has not been put on an agenda yet.

• According to Mayor Munson, they are only donating 50 acres for the youth football fields and parking lots.

• Since Sanford is a non-profit, they have special property tax assessment, so it doesn’t really matter who owns the land.

• Councilor Costello met with Sanford, and he says as he understands it the city will be only responsible for maintaining the fields and parking lots they build.

I finished by saying I had some questions because the story in the newspaper and the press release from the mayor’s office was “A little murky” and councilor Costello commented, “You feel our pain.”

Que Led Zeppelin’s Communication Breakdown

Watch the questioning of a crazy man here. I also informed the council what a mural was, they seem to be confused about art  a lot.
