South DaCola Music Club w/ Acid Bath
I’ll admit, I am not a death metal fan, but this is one of my favorite hardcore albums. I’ve seen them play twice at the Pomp Room, and they are a scary looking bunch.
Review by B. Schaefer
I’ve never bothered to write a review for a CD on Amazon before, partially because I’ve never had the [...]

San Fran Vacation – Pfeiffer Beach – Big Sur
Big Sur National Park was closed, so we were told to go here instead. You have to drive down a very bumpy 2 mile road to get to the beach, but it is pretty surreal. There is a chemical in the sand that when it mixes with ocean water it turns the sand purple. You [...]

Alaska’s Biggest Newspaper Wonders Which Palin Will Return Home
It’s obvious which Sarah Palin Alaskans need to see in the next two years. Alaskans elected her to be governor, not to give her a platform to run for president in 2012. Alaskans chose her because she promised a different way of doing business, not more of the same mindless partisan warfare.

Leslee Unruh; Still in a state of denial
I don’t think she gets it. Now she is blaming Barack Obama; even though I have only heard him talk twice about Abortion during his 22 month campaign. Leslee, please go away.
Unruh cited several reasons for the defeat: There were up to 12,000 new voters in the state and Barack Obama’s visits to South Dakota [...]

Porky City
Letter to the Editor today in the Argus Leader;
There is nothing wrong with businesses becoming wealthy through hard work and mutually beneficial trade. Healthy businesses provide jobs, and competition keeps costs down for consumers. But when businesses start to lobby government for special regulatory favors and government spending projects to help pad their profits, they [...]
