8 Thoughts on “Socialized Partying!

Looks like we should send over a few hookers so these guys don’t have to cross swords and take shots of vodka out of eachothers asses.

  2. I like Mr. Biceps, he is naked in every picture.

  3. The problem is, you pass socialized medicine and you’ll have the equivalent of the drunken, nude d-bag abusing that system x 1000.

Do something that opens up competition (pooling), allows for MSA’s, and take care of the actual working poor and folks who can’t (not won’t, not shouldn’t) get insured.

You could get that done for about half the money and still do it this year. You’d lose some of the hard Left, but you’d get a bunch more Republicans on board.

  4. Fuck that, there should be protests in the streets over this kind out wasteful spending. Spending money on Public Healtcare has results; healthy Americans that can work and contribute, which is good for the economy. Throwing a $190 million at a contractor to have sausage parties has no positive results.

  5. L3wis,

“Fuck that, there should be protests in the streets over this kind out wasteful spending.”

There is, and you bash them every chance you get.

The problem is, these are Xe (Blackwater) contractors that are being paid to do the job the CIA and Military should be doing.

When you constantly attack the manner and the methods that the CIA & Military have used, regardless of the success level, than this is what you get. Panetta freaked (rightfully so) when he realized we have outsourced much of the legwork on the GWOT. We did so for political, not strategic reasons and Obama has told Panetta basically to STFU.

  6. So are we suggesting this is one case where the government actually does something better than the private sector?

I didn’t think that was possible based upon the comments I’m hearing about Medicare and the VA health system.

  7. Mostly positive? I rarely hear vets complain about the VA, and the biggest argument against the public option is that seniors are afraid there will be cuts to Medicare. If Medicare isn’t working why would they care if there is cuts? It does work.

I was being somewhat sarcastic. We are continually bombarded with these arguments that the government can’t do anything better than the private sector, but as soon as we have a case like this people scramble to explain it away by saying we should have never outsourced in the first place.

For the record I don’t buy into the complaints about the VA health system being so horrible. They probably are far from perfect (name a health system that is) but it surely isn’t as bad as some would have us believe. Medicare is likely in the same boat.
