The poll is no surprise. It was known before but a very vocal minority wanted the band to stop. So the fight started. And now because of the added expense of this fight forced on South Dakota tax payers, the State needs to sue for the expense of the ballot and prior legal fees paid by the State.
Here is the list for the suit:
Don Rose, co-owner of Shenanigan’s Pub.
Mark O’Neill, Licensed Beverage Dealers of South Dakota President.
Pete Thompson of Tinner’s Bar and Gril.
Tommy Jacks of Sioux Falls.
and
Mike Trucano of Deadwood.
All four complained that they would be out of business if the band was enacted. Now I would like to see them out of business because they have to pay the legal fees…
New York banned smoking in public places several years ago. I’m a smoker. It’s about the only vice I have left. Now people just stand in front of the establishment and smoke. Or they have an outdoor section for smokers. Everyone agrees it’s bullshit. But it’s a law. A dumb law but still a law. In Albany anyway. In NYC people can’t even smoke outside in some areas. I’m from South Dakota originally. Just letting you know what’ll happen if then ban smoking.

That’s irony.
2nd hand smoke is no problem for most. 2nd hand chew, now that’s a problem.
I’m thinking of taking up smoking again, just so I have something to be pissed about come November…
