2 Thoughts on “Obama needs to make good on his 2007 promise

I have to have faith that Obama will fight for net neutrality. He is the first President that is up to speed with Blackberrys, Texting and Tweeting. My real concern is the younger of the Supremes who doesn’t have a clue what email is and doesn’t know the difference between emails and pagers. John Roberts writes his decisions in long hand, pen and paper, not on a computer. And this guy could be on the Supreme Court for 30 or 40 years.
How in the world will he ever understand a case that might come to the Supremes that Joe Blow caused the stock market to crash one thousand points in minutes because Joe “fat fingered” a B instead of a M?

Chief Justice John Roberts asked what the difference was “between email and a pager?” At another point, Justice Anthony Kennedy asked what would happen if a text message was sent to an officer at the same time he was sending one to someone else.“Does it say: ‘Your call is important to us, and we will get back to you?’” Kennedy asked. Justice Antonin Scalia stumbled getting his arms around with the idea of a service provider.
“You mean (the text) doesn’t go right to me?” he asked.
Then he asked whether they can be printed out in hard copy.
