Most likely there is more truth there than most people would like to admit

I wonder if the spill hasn’t warmed surface temperature in the gulf enough to affect weather patterns. Recent central US storms are unusual. To much rain hurts crops and keeps tributaries at flood stage longer than usual spring rain. Warm weather pushing to far north accelerates global warming.

The effects of the oil spill are far reaching and more than just oil, fishing, and southeast states economy.

Let’s hope Al Gore resolves things with Tipper so he can save the world with another documentary.

You got’er downside up there PG – Warm wet weather isn’t causing (accelerating) global warming – it is due to global warming.

Weather channel report shows first major Atlantiv storm of the season is forming far to the SE of where they normally would at this time of year – because the MID Atlantic water temps (not the Gulf) are already higher than normal for this time of year. This will give more storms more time to form (grow more powerful) throughout the entire ‘cane season this year. Yippee – here we go. Better hang on tight for this ride.

I’d like to see a prediction for how the oil spill affects weather. I suspect hurricanes will loom longer and inland weather be unpredictable such that there will be unusual economic effect.

Anybody have a link for this?
