Back in 2004, I was minding my own business (life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness) when the city of Sioux Falls cited me repeatedly for impertinent ordinances. What followed was 8 years of legal wrangling. I lost my house, my spouse, and $50,000 in legal expenses. I learned we think we’re free but we’re not. The city denies citizens access into court. They ignore state civil procedures and supreme court ruling.
I think we all appreciate what you did.
I’m having a hard time thinking about anything other than Colorado today.
Yes, sad about Colorado. Columbine HS and now Aurora.
When I lived there, we called it Saudy Aurora. Lots of crime and gangs. Much of it is newer but lots of transient population and drug activity.
It’ll be awhile before I go see the Batman movie. It’d be hard to focus on what may be a good movie.
I recently had a convo with someone who worked for the city of Aurora. Maybe he will chime in.
