Get out the party favors!

Soon one of the worst governors (besides Janklow) will become our worst senator;

“I am here today to ask the people of South Dakota for their support and to allow me to work for them as their United States Senator in 2014,” Rounds said in a statement.

I encourage anyone whose is ANTI anything to vote for him;

Anti-Education

Anti-Open Government

Anti-Child Welfare (The Mette Case)

Anti-Fair Bid Contracts

Anti-Limited government

Anti-Fiscal responsibility

Anti-Ethics

16 Thoughts on “Is the Anti-Governor running for senate?

  1. He is fast on his way to becoming a career politican. It would be nice if he would stick to selling insurance. Plus announcing this early means we will be hearing his political BS for two years. This constant campaigning is getting to be just plain ridiculous.

  2. The accidental governor may well become the accidental senator – both to the detriment of the state.

  3. Well…then maybe all of his extended family will be on the federal government payroll instead of just our poor little state.

    So at what point will the owner of the insurance company have to stop extolling to virtues of his firm in the TV ads? There begins a question of Federal Campaign Law violations to add to his resume to consider.

  5. I’m with Joan. For cryin’ out loud, give us a break already. I don’t think people should be able to actively or promote running until one year out. This now forces Johnson to begin his campaign all while trying to represent our state. Can we please get some productive years out of our representatives when they are not in campaign mode?

  6. And for all of you that will jump on me as you perceive my post as taking a shot at Johnson – I’m not. I happen to like the guy. Now I do think that after all of the health issues he and Barb have had in the last few years – would I want to stop this madness and enjoy life? – yes – but that’s not my decision and quite honestly – the Democratic party in SD has so few options for candidates – that I think he feels like he has to run to save the seat. But that is just my perception. I think Rounds will have a hard time winning votes in SF, but once again, just my perception.

  7. Despite my dislike for the guy, it’s his race to win…even if Johnson runs again.

    Alice, the reason Rounds has more insurance offices is not for business growth but to legitimize the spending of company money for his campaign. This is a federal campaign violation. May Rounds finally go to jail…

    I am not a Rounds fan, so he can come and go as far as I am concerned.

  10. I heard where Noem hasn’t decided if she will run for the Senate in 2014. My opinion is that she shouldn’t until her current term in the House is completely done. No politician should be able to run for another office while they are holding another seat. Just watch—-if “smooth talking” Rounds wins the Senate seat, I bet he will run for President in 2016. I can just see it.

  11. HAHAHAHAHAHA Rounds will run for President in 2016. His ego might.
    Someone wrote about Rounds on Dailykos the other day. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/11/27/1162897/-SD-Sen-Mike-Rounds-R-The-Guy-Who-Tried-To-Ban-Abortions-in-South-Dakota

  12. I’m kind of on this whole Rounds thing. Johnson has become a total dud, Noem is a total fool, Thune is too self absorbed and Daugaard is too political. I’m kind of getting excited about this whole nice guy Rounds candidacy.

  13. Has anyone noticed Rounds and Tom Daschle speak very similarly? I mean their heartfelt tone of voice when they really say something they want us to feel.

  14. “Whole nice guy Rounds candidacy?” It may have started that way, but let’s just say that Johnson will have lots of ammunition if Rounds gets through the primary.

    Senator Rounds will just pray away global warming.

  16. I see Homan is taking a move from Rounds playbook.
