Family

I love this. My Grandpa Carl Blachnik (My mother’s father) was the smartest man I ever met, a gardener, a farmer, a chef, a restranteur, a janitor, a carpenter, a mechanic, a genius. There is a museum in Tabor, SD (the Czech capital of the universe) that his Uncle Emil created, watching this video reminds me of Grandpa Carl.

Fun video.

Your Grandpa Carl sounds like a swell fellow and I might have ice fished with him on Beaver Lake a few generations ago. As wonderful as Tabor has proven to be, it is not the Prague of the Louisiana Purchase. Menno is.

Just for correction sake, My grandpa made his home in Scotland, SD.

I think he liked fishing, but I do know for a fact that one of his favorite afterwork treats was a tomato beer and sardines and ketchup on toast.

Thank you Lewis! Nice that you could remember those things!
