UPDATED: I was told from someone in attendance that he was reading from a book, but it was unclear what book and he didn’t cite the author.

Things are getting stranger by the day.

Here is the thing Huether was reading from:
It wasn’t even a real bible quote.  This missionary chick author just wrote it after thinking on a few bible verses.

January 9

I am with you and for you. When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you. You may encounter many obstacles as you move toward your goal, but don’t be discouraged—never give up! With My help, you can overcome any obstacle. Do not expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but do remember that I, your very-present Helper, am omnipotent.

Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come. One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events. If you want to stay close to Me and do things My way, ask Me to show you the path forward moment by moment. Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace. Slow down, and enjoy the journey in My Presence.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
—Romans 8:31

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling.
—Psalm 46:1–3 nkjv

7 Thoughts on “UPDATED: Did Huether plagiarize his Heritage Alliance speech? (H/T – Old Style)

  1. He may have been quoting a book about Jesus but it certainly seemed to correlate with how he sees himself as mayor.

If it is accord with the mayor’s will, nothing on heaven and earth can stop it.

Stay close to MMM, do what I want, let me set the pace.

Sure sounds like the way he wants to continue to run the city!

The omnipotent part…..you decide for yourself! It seems to be how he sees himself!

Good job on finding the source of his comments. This just gets stranger and stranger. What did he do- go out and find a book that had the same right wing leanings so he could “relate” to his audience and show them he was one of them? Very Disturbing behavior.

  3. I get a chuckle out of the way your Mayor pronounces his last name – Huether. I live in the same town with his cousins and they pronounce their name – Heater. (spelled the same as your Mayors – Huether). They have never figured it out why he changed the pronunciation of his last name.

Everyone around him (2004-6) tried ways to work around him. They knew his actions were unusual. I avoided his company realizing people went along with him rather than resist. It was 2006 when the feds tromped on First Premier for 30% interest. Huether resigned & ran for mayor. Perhaps this is the end of an empowered misguided narcisist fake.

Sheep herder, I have been working on my family’s genealogy for about 15 years and I really wish names had been left like they were in the old county. One of my late great-grandfathers came from Norway with the name Bryhn, but somewhere along the line it got changed to Brown, and I have a copy of his naturalization certificate with it spelled Bryhn, but it sure is hard to find information when there is two or more spellings for a name. Another set of great grandparents were Nielsen in Denmark but it got changed to Nelson and his wife’s name was Bendtsen in Denmark and it got changed to Bentsen. It just gets real frustrating. Well enough complaining.
