Michelle sent out her first direct mailer (which I am sure of many) Which looks like a coupon for laundry detergent or a free carwash (sorry Michelle, while green is my favorite color, it is a very bad political color). That and your type point is so small, I am wondering if you don’t want people who need reading glasses to vote for you (which is about 75% of the Central District)?

But let’s get to your points . . . that have me freaking baffled.

• Who would refuse Federal grants for police assistance? Seriously? How is this an accomplishment? The Feds send us a check, the city finance director endorses the back, we cash it, we get more police protection. It’s easier then licking a stamp or tying your shoe. Way to go Michelle! Where do I send the party favors?

• First off, never have hyphens on direct mailers. Talk to your graphic artist about this. Secondly, you do understand that the state is the only entity that can revoke licenses for non-compliance, the city council can only ‘scold’ oh, and we know you are good at this, because for 4 years, that is all you have accomplished with your fellow councilors, scolding them for not listening to Michelle.

Everyone knows the best way to curb teen drinking (and texting for that matter) is thru education, not litigation.

• Is loitering an issue in Sioux Falls? So, So, So weird.

6 Thoughts on “Michelle Erpenbach; After 4 years on the city council, she still doesn’t have a clue

So…… she’s up for graphic designer of the year??? Or not??

I suspect everyone in her district has senility issues. Other than confusing issues and violating citizens free speech, what’s she accomplished? True, the council offers advice with their vote. For Home Rule Charter, the strong mayor can ignore their vote. Therefore, if she wants to occupy a seat on the council the only harm is there’s a lot less fresh air. The council affords no checks and balances. They exist so citizens assume there’s checks and balances when actually, there isn’t.

  3. There’s no doubt she’s counting on the “get off my lawn” crowd to get her reelected.

Dan – shall we look up the actual demographics of her district too? Or are you content to simply insult them to further your own spin?

Spellerberg Park is in the Central District.

I am watching the candidate forum currently taking place at Carnegie. Councilor Erpenbach represents the Central District.

She just made an extensive statement about the outdoor pool at Spellerberg going into great detail about water leaking out of the pool as fast as it goes in.

    This is inaccurate information.

In the past this has been an issue, but several years ago the pool was re-plumbed and the issue was resolved. This is confirmed both in the City-Wide Aquatics Master Plan and by Director of Parks and Recreation, Don Kearney, at a public meeting in 2013.

This involves a very controversial ballot issue, and it is extremely irresponsible of a sitting Councilor to convey inaccurate information to voters 19 days before the election!!!

She has her quirks like mmm. The lack of ethics by our mayor and Erps unwavering support to pull this crap is sad for all of us. We have more debt than the state of SD and most has been last four years. time for spring cleaning. Vote her out
