I was excited to hear about this group. A group of Downtown business owners taking promoting their businesses and DT into their own hands instead of depending on help from DTSF. I have often suggested that DT needed a group like this. Good Luck!

Sounds like another way for asses to get chapped when this group of DT Elitists start playing favorites and excluding businesses they don’t deem worthy to be in their special group…. starting with all those businesses that aren’t on the coveted Phillips Avenue.

    Good luck with that.

Didn’t know Man Code had the necessary permits/licenses to distribute alcohol!

Experience Phillips Avenue shared Man Code’s photo.

Stop by the Jared Lang trunk show tonight at Man Code!
Jared Lang shirts are freshly steamed and ready for action!

Stop by after work for a beer to kick off your weekend.
    Jared Lang trunk snow tonight!

  3. First off AG, I only say something positive on this Blog about every 18 months, and you have to fucking ruin it by saying what you did. But I agree, their will probably be some passive aggressive back stabbing going on.

Anon, as I understand it, it is perfectly legal to give FREE alcohol to people OF AGE. Maybe I am wrong, but as long as the Man Code is giving away the beer for free, I don’t think they need a license.

You can get a special malt license event permit for $10/day. You may have to be a “civic” organization though. City gives those out pretty easily you just have to do it far enough in advance. So Man Code may be within code serving beer. I am unsure if an open business can just open up a free bar for the customers with no permits. The Harley shop served free beer every Saturday all summer from 4-6 so I know others do it.

I’m just calling it like I see it. Wouldn’t it be great if I was wrong?

We all know that I’m not.

Free beers for bikers….every Saturday nite during the summer…and not a saturation patrol in sight. Now that’s working the system. Congrats Diamond Jim.

  7. give the police free motorcycles and they’ll leave you alone.
