worthless-trip

Besides the fact that Austin, TX is really freaking fun, I think one councilor and one staffer would have been fine. Funny how they need to have a full blown interrogation of Dr. Staggers when he wanted to go to the American Dream Conference, but ZERO vetting when they had to send this many councilors to a conference in Austin with their overpaid $80K+ a year presentation maker.

Maybe Kermit messed up by not making his trip expensive and purposeless.

3 Thoughts on “Interesting to find out why we had to send half the SF city council and staffers to Austin

  1. a whole conference dedicated to the american dream, dusty rhodes. awesome!!!

  2. Maybe it is for the same reason why the state was able to come up with $500,000.00 to paid the membership dues to ALEC for each of the legislators, for the legislators to attend ALEC events, plu per diem.

The state could do that so why not the city? (I am being sarcastic.)

I agree that it could have been more efficient, and more economical to send two or three people to Austin, and have those same two or three people share with others what they learned.

The state legislators could have done the same.

Interesting how 4 councilors went to Texas and came back with nothing. Staggers went to Denver and came back with a good (also relevant) presentation. The 4 Amigos could have at least come back with 10 gallon hats to hide their brain cavity and huge belt buckles so we can’t see they don’t have the balls to stand up to the emperor mayor.
