I guess you can say I am now a victim of crime in the Whittier neighborhood. I didn’t report it to police, because I know they have trouble solving bike theft, besides, I think it will turn up faster by telling friends. I built this bike almost 20 years ago and have rode it all over town. I basically was riding home from Downtown last night and stopped at Mickey D’s for a few minutes and they have no bike rack by the door so I just parked it. I think a couple of kids took it, not sure though, a lot of vagrants are in that neighborhood to.

Anyway, I think some of my FB friends are putting together a reward. So if you do find it, let me know, even if it is wrecked.

The bike doesn’t have a banana seat or a sissy bar anymore.

That is terrible, Mr. E. I hope you get your bike back and those little hooligans get the whuppin’ they deserve. You know they will someday end up in prison.

Did you lock your bike before you went in? Looks like your wheels are bolt on and not quick release which would be a plus security wise. Isn’t a Ubar lock still the best vs chains?

Otherwise it was a nice bike. Hopefully it’s still in Sioux Falls and is still in one piece, and someone sees it.

What if your friends are tricking it out? A 300 hp V8, wheels, & custom paint.

Mcds does have a bike rack – admit you were just lazy and couldn’t walk the extra 25 feet before getting your little sausage fingers on a mcdouble.

  7. I will agree, I was being a lazy ass, and parked it by the door. The irony of it is that I didn’t lock it up all night. I had it parked at all kinds of events DT last night, not locked up, once I drive it to the ‘new ghetto’ it gets stolen, in about 5 minutes. Go figure.

I stop at the Chinese Restaurant just a couple blocks to the north of that McD’s occasionally (ironically the OLD McD’s location). I thought it had it rough before, now with the addition of the homeless shelter, think about it… It is now surrounded by a homeless shelter, the Banquet, and the Union Gospel Mission. I can’t imagine that location is prime real estate.
