I’m not the only one that thinks it is a little odd that Joop only got a $2k fine and a slap on the wrist. Most plea deals come with a ‘deal’. The question is, did Joop make a deal with Feds to sing like a little birdy to get his plea deal?
Why would anyone kill themselves with a 5 foot branch in the middle of a grove of trees over a piddly felony and fine? Bigger things were going on, and I have a feeling Mr. Bollen is helping to fry those fish.
Maybe, I hope you are right, but then you are assuming that a Trump Justice Department will want to open up this can of worms, which primarily transpired under the Bush43 era.
If you are not right, then Jackley will definitely be dogged by this $ 2000 fine plea throughout his gubernatorial battle with Noem, however….. And why did he allow this to happen?……Time will tell or tell nothing….
Maybe Jackley is hoping the debate will never ensue within the Republican Party given that Party’s corporatist tendencies….
In my opinion, I think that there is so much more to this story that has never been told or seen from the angle involving the Federal USCIC administrator, who worked under Bush43, who was called the “Czar of the Federal EB5 Program” in the last decade, who then resigned that post in 2009 to go work for the South Dakota Regional Center along side Joop…. (Who knows?)… And if I am right about my just mentioned theory or opinion, then that would justify further Federal interest with Joop’s help, wouldn’t it?….
I highly doubt it’ll be big fish. Jackley had to approve of the slap on the wrist. Odds are they find a clerk to send down the river.
