I guess they decided to come out of hiding. The meeting is today (Wednesday, 6/28/2017) at NOON at the SF Health Department, Downtown, 521 North Main.

Maybe Commissioner Barth can show up and introduce himself to everyone since NO ONE knows who he is.

10 Thoughts on “REMSA meeting today at NOON

Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority meets at Health and Human Services Building, 521 N. Main, 2nd floor, Classroom 1. Four of the last nine meetings were cancelled? Don’t say Paramedics Plus or you’ll get bogus city citations for years.

Cameraman Bruce was at the meeting today, it was 2 hrs long with a lot of contentious debate and public input. Hope to have a video up by this weekend. Hold tight.

Clowns & cameras = circus. Don’t feed the animals.

I hope you are not calling the grieving father Brian Neal a “Clown”. He courageously testified in front of the REMSA board, (and yes the media) about the loss of his son, the 22 minute wait for an ambulance and the need for a more timely request for mutual aid in Sioux Falls. If these important meetings were video taped, you and all the Council members could watch it and see first hand the conversation.

The clowns know who they are and so does everyone else. Mr. Neal is a grieving victim. And he has been re-victimized by the media and the “advocates” in this case for their own purposes. That much is clear. He has my sympathy and my respect. The clowns have neither.

No clowns here, but quite a few chickenshits that like to run their mouths anonomously about other people without showing their true identity. But hey, they are protected by the 1st Amendment to do so, just like people running cameras at these meetings.

As a voter, I want to hear the mayoral candidates address this issue.

So that protected speech is fine as long as it agrees with Dacola groupthink? How enlightened of you.

Larry, if I had a problems with opposing views, your comments wouldn’t show up here. Unlike that fat POS that runs the wusscollege, I don’t delete comments that may offend me.

“Re-Victimized”. Interesting. The father flat out stated his son made bad decisions. The crux of the matter is the low-bid ambulance service our mayor has provided us. I have been involved in emergency services in the city since the mid 1990’s and I can tell you without a doubt that Paramedics Plus is extremely unreliable. I am not blaming the Medics or EMT’s that work for them; they are just earning a wage and going where they are told to go. The obvious problem is the city went with the low-bid and guess what, you get low-bid service. The “ghost ambulance” and the different codes they use to try and throw off the watchful public would be hilarious if I hadn’t seen in person patients waiting for service that actually need Paramedic level interventions. No matter how the City spins the ambulance service I am here to tell you the city is worse off than it was before Paramedics Plus took over. The ONLY solution is for the city to pay more for extra ambulances on the street and for Paramedics Plus to offer a better wage to garner and keep experienced and competent Medics. They have a thankless and highly stressful occupation and deserve better.
