What disturbs me from ordinance review is the number of building codes and fee increases. I’m sure insider developers are exempt. Average Joe can’t improve his home without major city intervention aka harassment.
A topic for consideration is internet afflictions. It’s not just Amazon taking away retail and tax base. Within 5 years, credit cards and banking will change in favor of digital currency. A third of the Sioux Falls economy is financial. Not only will there be empty retail but also cubicle warehouses. The city is a health care center but that will dissipate once financial employees leave to work at Amazon centers in other states.
