5 Thoughts on “Jolene getting some help from the Dems

  1. Well, the last time Democratic leaders in this state picked their favorite mayoral candidate, we know it worked out well for transparency, government workers’ union rights, affordable housing, maintaining essential services for our citizens, and fighting crime….. So why not try it again?…. 😉

If the political climate is the same 5 months from now as it is today, Jolene has a real chance.

Yea, let’s keep hiring inexperienced unknowns to turn authoritarian when they don’t know what to do.

I don’t think it begs well for Jolene to have the support of a failed Democratic candidate from Hartford. Last I checked Hartford was not part of Sioux Falls. Anyone can have an opinion, but really, what is Paula Hawks doing endorsing candidates in a Sioux Falls city election? She lives in Hartford; her children attend school in Hartford; she serves on the West Central (Hartford) School Board and taught in its system for 10 years; she narrowly won her legislative races because of her overwhelming support from Hartford and Humbolt. (And by throwing her fellow Democratic candidates under the bus.) She should stay in her own lane and leave the choice for Sioux Falls Mayor to those of us who live in Sioux Falls. She can have Hartford.

  5. Several candidates for SF mayor have never served in a public service position and have zero political experience.

They will not get my vote.

They would have served our community in a much better fashion by running for a position like City Council first.
