 
It’s time to wipe these two faces from the city website after May 2018.
After the recent votes on the golf contract and parking ramp it is becoming more and more obvious councilors Christine Erickson (at-large) and Rick Kiley (SE) need opponents.
Kiley has always been a strong supporter of the mayor and his policies of secret government. But it seems Erickson has lost her way. It all seem to have happened when her and the mayor had their ‘special’ meeting when she became elected vice-chair. Some kind of handshake deal was made because a lot of people are wondering what happened to the old Christine that supported things like FREE bus rides for kids and opposed the city administration building. That ship has apparently sailed after signing a deal with the devil, or should I say dictator.
Unfortunately NO one has stepped up to run against these two. Clara Hart has decided to stay in the already crowded at-large position that Rolfing is leaving vacant (Paulson and Brekke are also running in that race).
There has been some talk about a possible challenger to Kiley (if not two) but I am still waiting for a challenger to Erickson.
We truly need a significant change in city government coming May, and I think we not only need to replace the mayor and any candidates with his philosophies (Entenman and TenHaken) we need four new fresh faces on the city council.
I encourage people to oppose Kiley and Erickson, they are beatable, you just have to expose their voting records that support a more closed and non-transparent government. Step up, your city needs you!
I’ve said they need to go for awhile. A new council composure and new mayor would be a fresh approach.
If Erickson runs I’m going to write in and vote for January Jones. For Kiley, I’ll write in Harvey Weinstein. To bad Rolfing is term limited, I’d write in ‘Walter’ (Jeff Dunham’s dummy).

Erickson and Kiley, by their voting choices, have shown us their true bias is not for the people they were elected to represent, but with preference for the mayor and his agenda.
In the past Erickson occasionally tried to straddle the fence to give the appearance of being open minded. However, her desire to be in power and leadership have revealed her willingness to compromise the desires of the people who once supported her.
I, and many others, will support anyone who will run against either of these two.
I can think of several Jansa supporters who spoke before the council in the past two weeks who would make great at large or Southeast candidates.
Actually Kiley and Erickson provide a nice counterbalance to Starr and Stehly. Too much of any one thing is problematic. Balance is preferred.
Sand…rubber stamping is not balance. Selberg for example. Says we should ask his wife if he is a rubber stamper. I prefer asking here. I am trying to recall anything other than minor issues, in which selberg opposed his mayor.
So Sandman, 2 or 3 people on the Council who actually are trying to ask questions and GET answers so an administration is held accountable is wrong? The Council members should not just rubber stamp the questionable stories put on a table by the mayor, no matter who is mayor.
