After listening to the Good Ship Lalley Pop show yesterday, there seems to be this assumption that I am in the Greg Jamison camp. Not exactly. In fact, I told Jolene the other night before the council meeting started that I haven’t decided yet who to vote for.

I also said, that until the candidates can really get to the meat and potatoes during the forums and interviews, it’s all just kind of fluff at this point.

Do I talk to Greg about city politics? I do, I also talk to several other mayoral candidates. If anyone calls me that is running for office and has questions, I will always do my best to answer them (mostly give my opinion) whether I support them or not.

I just wanted to clarify, I’m still on the fence when it comes to the mayoral race. As for Cameraman Bruce and Stehly that were also mentioned, I don’t think they belong to any camps either. I actually know for a fact that Stehly is staying completely out of the mayoral race endorsement game and has contacted several of the candidates telling them that.

Trust me, if I decide to endorse any of the candidates, you will definitely know.

8 Thoughts on “South DaCola isn’t endorsing any Mayoral candidates, yet.

I am waiting for a candidate with the CHARACTER and COURAGE of Starr and Stehly. I see no one out there with those qualities.

I want someone committed to the citizens and not personally an elite or controlled by the elites.

I am sick of the swamp in city government!!!

I didn’t mean to imply that you had endorsed a candidate, just that you were saying nice things and seem to have some common goals in terms of transparency, and that if Greg could tap into the Disciples of Kermit organizational abilities it could boost his campaign. I’d have to go back and listen, as it was moving pretty quickly, but we can certainly clarify next time you’re on, which is coming up.

I like Anderson. I believe he can bring city government back into constitutional rule of law. I think his military background is valuable for cleaning out departmental corruption and addressing the debt. Veterans organizations recognize Home Rule Charter is not democracy. They will be going to the polls while the cubicle droids stay home with video games and candy.

  4. I am inclined to vote for David Z. as a protest vote. Let the “Taupe Housing Society of Conformity,” pick the two run-off candidates, then the “Z Crowd” can decide which conformist we will own to our liking….

  5. If I had to vote tomorrow I would vote for David. He is the only one who has presented a plan for transparency, civil rights and an overhaul of the police department.

    This is how I would rate the finishers if the election were held tomorrow also;

    Entenman
Jolene – Jamison (tied for 2nd)
    TenHaken
    David Z
    Anderson
    Nick Weiland
    Mike Gunn

  6. The other candidates need to be careful. David Z could be the “Knobe of ’18″…. And if he isn’t, then it just becomes a question as to who will most likely be given the opportunity to defeat Jamison in the run off….

I believe Jolene has a real chance to run the table. Not sure of her platform yet, but if she is more like Theresa and less like erpenbach, she has a real chance to beat who comes in second between Jamison, entennnman, and tenwhatever.
