4 Thoughts on “Starr and Stehly lay out their concerns about the DT parking ramp at Dem Forum (12/1/2017)

  1. Starr and Stehly did a great job this morning (Sunday) on Jon Michael’s radio show.

Leaves me shaking my head as to why the 6 other city councilors are most likely going to vote YES in support of this project. It is far too costly for taxpayers and involves all of us for the next 80 years with Legacy, a development company who operates in a very shady way, including their continued involvement with Aaron Hultgren.

Taken from yesterday’s AL: The two most serious citations against Hultgren were classified as “willful,” the most serious OSHA levies. Willful violations are given to employers who knowingly failed to comply with legal requirements or acted with indifference to employee safety.

Ok, I’ll comment. City corruption is out of control. I appreciate that Starr and Stehly hold their ground. It’s not possible to overcome the 6 others and the mayor who got bought. The end will happen when there’s city bankruptcy. Sounds bad but bond investors are idiots who can’t see this city is a horrible investment.

The last topic of the video was also interesting. The 50 plus 1 proposal. This whole proposal has one intent, and one intent only. It is to keep good hard working councilors like Theresa and Pat off the council. It is hard enough to drum up enough money to run in the first election. The mayor knows this, and so does the entire council. If this is voted in now it will be hard to reverse because the wrong people will be on the new council. Hopefully there will be a groundswell of support for the underdogs.

  4. This “willful” finding should be enough to warrant a grand jury over the question of criminal negligence.

Last Dec/Jan our State’s Attorney said he was waiting for the OSHA results in a KELO interview… Well, now what are we waiting for?…. Christmas?

I realize that the SA office is over worked and understaffed thanks to the City’s increased crime tolerance – and they probably don’t want to get into a political/criminal battle with the City either- but no one said life was easy and its time for the SA office to prove that the system works.
