9 Thoughts on “The ‘Agitators’ need to stop pointing out my ‘Lies’

I tried to watch this, but changed the channel after his astounding “me the victim” lecture to a question about Hultgren’s/Legacy’s illegal asbestos dumping. “The state never informed us” … yeah, right, and neither did your city landfill employees (allegedly). Or your highly-paid Public Works Director (allegedly). Putz.

We’re already subjected to 30 minutes of handpicked question on Ask the Mayor … now this for another 90 minutes?!? At least now we know why he’s been trolling citizen Facebook accounts lately.

He’s eliminated the hand picked audience. It’s hard to find fans. A lengthy session with his version of himself. Run for something and we’ll give you our opinion.

I listened the whole thing. Good fodder for me at least. He’s holding firm on that “Million Dollars” bit isn’t he?

  4. BS – there were several ‘myths’ he is holding firm on.

  5. Oh to be relevant again. Da Mayor of all he knows is barely clinging to what’s left of his legacy and power. He needs to hide in his office to answer social “media” questions presented by Heather because real media or even Bruce might show up to ask a question.

A recent unsocial media event starts off this video. We show again da mayor does not seem to understand truth, construction or what media is.

First of all, no one said the building was going to fall down, at least for a while. So what’s all the fuss about? We have water in the walls of the Denty. The consultant was shown water caused rust and reported it. Water has been documented coming out of the walls. Photos were taken to showing potential problems with the Tyvek air barrier (it’s not a water shield).

    Now let’s remember da mayor’s truthiness….

Sioux Falls did not get a million bucks or dollars. The secret settlement allowed the city to cash out its own builder’s contingency fund to pay a mechanic’s lien filed for non-payment of work. The contingency fund was there to cover unexpected and future expenses. It is gone, never to be brought back, just like the missing building warranty released in a once secret change order.

The city of Sioux Falls to paid for the same siding and roofing jobs twice, as in 2 payments. The first payment went through Mortenson for MG McGrath as part of the Guaranteed Maximum Price contract. Local contractor, MJ Dalsin, was to be paid for their work out of this fund but instead there was a hidden payment made through the once secret settlement so their building mechanic’s lien could be released.

So to sum this up, we taxpayers paid two construction invoices for the same work on the building while our street pothole fund dries up over 20 years making payments so this mayor can have his wrinkled tinfoil clad legacy to Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks.

His legacy will always be, he got his things done while we got the repair, tax and water bills. In May, he can go whine about it somewhere else. We have some words of advice for him, “Don’t let the screen door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.” His legacy, haaaaaaa, baaaaaaa.

And as I’ve said before — I’m not the only one, clearly — we wouldn’t still be talking about this if the city would have said, ‘well, that’s screwed up, this is what we’re going to do,’ rather than a secret illegal settlement. Nobody cares that much about the siding, really they don’t, it’s everything that has happened since.

  7. What I find ironic is while talking with Heather he says that leaders learn from their mistakes. This is true, but you must admit you made a mistake to learn from it. It’s funny really because he likes to bring up his alcoholic father any chance he has. What is the first thing they tell you in AA or any recovery program? You must first admit you have a problem before you can move forward. While Mike doesn’t have a problem with drinking like his father, he certainly has inheirited some of his father’s behaviors.

Dilly! Dilly! It’s from a beer commercial. It means nothing, like Huether after April.
