In all fairness, Jim may have been guessing that 2017 ended better than expected. But I talked to a couple of other mayoral candidates today that were a little surprised that Jim brought up the fact the city ended the year just fine during the mayoral forum the other night. How does he know? The city council and the public haven’t seen those numbers yet. Did someone at city hall leak this important information to Jim?

Jim also talks about his candidacy on Jon Michaels’ Forum recently. I liked this tidbit from Todd’s blog;

And no, current Mayor Mike Huether is not going to be his chief of staff. Entenman said he plans to serve his full four or eight years if elected.

He said that Mike will NOT work for him in any capacity . . . at this point and doesn’t know what Mike’s plans are. He joked that he will probably be the LAST TO KNOW.

Sure.

It was interesting that Jim brings up being on the Brandon city council for 15 years. That city is in bad shape when it comes to water infrastructure and other issues due to very poor planning.

8 Thoughts on “How did Sioux Falls Mayoral Candidate Entenman know how the city did financially in 2017?

    I would not be surprised to see MMM slide over to President at the SF Development Foundation when he leaves City Hall. Position has sat empty since November. and I haven’t seen it advertised. He’d be a disaster in that job, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

    Entenman would be the perfect sucker to get blamed for Huether debt. I’m tempted to vote for him and watch him go down big time.

  3. Spin, maybe you are right, why not hand Jim, Mike’s sh*t sandwich and watch how he juggles it.

  4. I also think it is funny when MMM says he never was beholden to special interests. LMAO. He gave big developers every thing they wanted over the past 8 years because he was investing with them. He even went so far to take $500K from taxpayers for a building he put his name on. If that doesn’t wreak of special interest, what does?

    Are you sure this sales tax info has not been shown to at least some on the council? Greg Neitzert on his Facebook page seemed to know sales taxes were better than projected last Wednesday. This is not an affront to Greg as somehow being an insider with information reserved for only a few. This is not about insiders. It is about the outsiders. We all know who they are, but why are they outsiders? Because they want to break down the walls of secrecy?

  6. Maybe he has seen the Democratic Memo…..?

  7. WP, that is my whole point, seems there is a ‘slow seep’ of information coming out of the finance office.

    It’s beginning to look a lot like another rigged election.
