One of these candidates has the inside track on “how we got to where we are now”, knows how City Hall works (and/or how it was INTENDED to work), and has the legal acumen to theoretically balance or challenge gaslighting attempts by the City Attorney against Council members. The other candidate, well, needs to get a hobby to fill his retirement years. Nearly 100% of the audience applause was for the substantive remarks made by Janet Brekke. Paulson’s vacuous, pollyanna-gee-whiz responses went in noncommittal circles. He’s hopelessly outgunned. The wise election day choice for Janet Brekke is clear.
