UPDATE: Deconstructing ignorance

When I saw this cartoon first come out, I told Stehly to just ignore it, as I did for awhile, until I ran across it again today. I will try to decipher it’s horrible construction. First off, when it comes to editorial tooning, I don’t place much on it’s artistic value. If something is in the right place, it works. The artist does have a style, but I find no need to go after his/her draftsmanship, it’s his/her content that troubles me. Like a typical right-winger cartoonist he/she takes the words of the latest headline to pen their observations without actually researching the topic at hand. Like most of this chickensh*t ANON’s work, he/she misses the point. Can’t wait for them to make fun of me, it will be fun deconstructing that toon also.

UPDATE: Theresa actually asked the SFSD to have Bob Litz machine tabulate the votes to not have the appearance of manipulation by hand counting the votes themselves. We know how that went . . .

Anyone who is acquainted with – or at least has a one-on-one conversation with – Theresa Stehly, knows her outspokenness does not equate with any alleged egoism. Theresa takes the responsibility of her elected position seriously. Her ethics and her conscience are her compass. She is unafraid of taking a controversial stand, uninhibited in asking inconvenient questions, unconcerned “what people will think” when expressing her convictions. She immerses herself in a supposedly part-time near minimum wage w/o benefits city job, and goes to great lengths to keep the public informed about and engaged with civic affairs – at her own personal AND financial expense. There is no hidden agenda of long term financial or political gain.

People talk.

Whoever is responsible for this will ultimately be revealed.

If it turns out to be a fellow councilor, they need to be recalled.

I have an inkling of who it is, and if they are the guilty party, they will have to do a lot of man splainin’.

I wish these established Republicans, who have a problem with Theresa, would show instead a public distain for Trump. These established Republicans are demonstrating nothing, but a double standard, in order, to protect their own local self-interest….. But then again, they are established Republicans, are they not?

A further thought: What does it say, when we have a Mayor, who criticizes Theresa for her “$300 water bill comment,” yet, tells an audience last April, that Trump – the greatest exaggerator (liar acutally) of all times – deserves a ‘B?’

I’d say this cartoonist is either influenced by or is himself a controlling, BULLY type, typical of a few newer top city employees.

Additionally, Theresa is a rarity in government. She is actually serving not for personal betterment, power, or ego, as so many in government service are doing, but she is committed to serving the people! She is respectful to all, and deserves respect in return instead of cowardly, dishonest cartoons from bully types!

So true. She is an honorable lady and never makes it about just her. Matter of fact, nearly everything she says starts with “Councilor Starr agrees with me”.

As long as we live in a community that does not thoroughly investigate and react to a building collapse, which took a life; a city that leaves it up to the Feds. Then that is a community that continues to need leaders like Theresa in an elected position.
