Ironically, either one could be . . .

You had Ted the amateur gyno

Lynn, who felt it was okay to run over Liberals with cars

Mike the bigot

Matt who thought session was about drinking and having sex with legislative college staff

Gene who wants to watch female lobbyists pee

Saving babies while allowing more guns and cutting education funding . . .

State legislators got a 90% increase in pay!!!

  2. While I wasn’t opposed to a raise, my suggestion would have been an inflationary raise each year for the next ten years + 5%. Then after that, see if the steps could end. I figured with per diem, most legislators (the ones that only show up during session, 40 days) will be pulling in around $375-400 per day. Do you think they are worth that? This of course doesn’t include all the free meals (and drinks) they receive from lobbyists. Former legislators have told me you can eat 3 FREE squares a day, every day of session. And to think, the city council wants to charge a citizen for one plate of food.

Legislature has become a good part time job for retirees. They cut off their own foot. There should be lots of (finally) competent candidates. Considering the freebies from lobbyists and write offs (car, home office, supplies, entertainment) I’m considering changing to republican and running. A republican liberal could put an end to some conservative policy. Voters who play only republican might get me elected by accident.

My favorite KDLT mistake was when they once referred to a Rhodes Scholar as a “Roads Scholar”, then showed a backdrop of a white striped paved road wondering into infinity….. This actually happen back in the early 90s….
