While I think Michael Steele is a gigantic idiot (gigantic) I think Palin as the new RNC chair would be the biggest gift to Democrats since she f’d up McCain’s nomination for president. Please, Please, Please, appoint her!

Notice that Democrats are mysteriously silent about it . . . because behind the scenes they are either drooling about the possible appointment or laughing their asses off, or both.

Some conservatives may want Sarah Palin to take over the role of chairman of the Republican National Committee from Michael Steele, but chances are slim the high-priced speech-maker would want it.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) posed for a picture with Birther leader and California secretary of state candidate Orly Taitz at a tea party lunch event in California Friday, Taitz tells TPM.

Taitz and Bachmann both spoke at a lunch sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots, Taitz said in an email. But Birtherism did not come up at the event, according to Taitz.

“Michelle Bachmann spoke at the lunch, however she did not talk about eligibility, but rather general status of economy, politics and elections,” Taitz says. “I spoke at the lunch, however I did not speak about ongoing legal actions involving Obama’s use of ss number 042-68-4425, which was assigned to another individual, I also did not talk about Obama’s refusal to unseal his original birth certificate, currently sealed in HI or any other issues of Obama’ illegitimacy to presidency which are raised in the pleadings. I talked only about my candidacy for the position of the Secretary of State of CA.”

Bachmann was in California for two days for a tour organized by Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum, state Eagle Forum president Orlean Koehle tells TPM. Bachmann’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I love laughing at her defenders when this clearly mentally challenged person does shit like this. I’m sure she will blame the liberals.

Today’s announcement that Sarah Palin will become a contributor to Fox News Channel is the next step in the logical progression of her career.

I hope she cries on air about ‘loving America soooooo much’ like Glenn Beck does.

Let’s examine the Fox News deal from Palin’s perspective. Palin is a true, Hollywood-type celebrity with a bestselling book and millions of adoring fans. She may have designs on the presidency, but she evidently wants to soak up the perks and adulation of her celebrity first, and she has done that with gusto.
