You looked a little startled when he gaveled you… “They’re apointed by you?” BWAHAHAHAHA

  2. Yeah, you like how he tried to dance around that question? He was just itching to gavel me for something ever since I called him out on the first amendment.

  3. BTW, I found this comment on DWC college’s post on the topic interesting. Gee I wonder who D4Mayor is . . . ?

If you can stomach listening to the city council meeting streamed on the city of SF website you’ll see that Sec’y Bergquist told the council he was NOT an advocate or the tax, just there to give info on the state’s highway funding situation. Normally the Argus is 100% accurate so I can see why you quote their stories as gospel, but they got this one wrong.

Doesn’t matter if he was for or against, he really didn’t have a reason to be there if that was the case. I would think that someone from a city department could have read a prepared report from his office, this was purely tactical, and I’m curious how much his trip from Pierre to Sioux Falls cost the taxpayers of SD.

Surprised you made it out of bed this early D, you were so tired last night I didn’t think you were going to make it to the end of the meeting.

  4. Can the tax increase be refered to a public vote?

Also Can the platting fee be challenged in court because it is a tax and not a fee?

  5. Good point!

I wonder if it can? Maybe so, but I have a feeling one of the developers would have to challenge it.
