Obama’s online townhall meeting

Maybe our esteemed governor and state representatives should do something like this . . . wait, the only Republican in the state that understands internet technology is Pat Powers (And he’s really a closet Democrat). Nevermind.

Now, in the 21st century, President Obama has found his own fireside equivalent, launching an online town hall meeting Thursday where he will answer citizens’ questions about the troubled economy and his efforts to fix it.

“We’re going to try something a little different. We are going to take advantage of the Internet to bring all of you to the White House to talk about the economy,” he says in an introductory video on the site.

They understand it, but only see it as a threat, but not too big a threat. We’re just a bunch of bloggers, right?

Funny thing is when Pat is harrassing fellow Republican lawmakers on his site they email him or post on his site and get all bent out of shape. I think I have only caught one city employee writing on my site, but can’t prove it, just a suspician.

The republicans in this state are very much a “obey us or else” party. They don’t take kindly to anyone not parroting the party line verbatim.

‘Most transparent administration my ass’

Did you actually believe Obama when he promised that? Don’t be so naive – at least he is more transparent then Mike Rounds.
