Is SC nominee Elena Kagan gay? Who cares.

To tell you the truth I think it would be fantastic to have a gay Supreme Court justice. Heck, we have a (half) black president, why not go all the way . . . (from Gawker);

Verdict: Between the hair, the softball, the “open secret” at Harvard, the purported partner, and the Andrew Sullivan outing, I’m going to go ahead and guess she’s gay. It should be interesting to see how her orientation plays out during the confirmation process and whether or not anyone on the Judiciary Committee will come right out and ask her.

People really need to start worrying about the real issues facing our country; War, environment, healthcare and the separation of classes. If Elena has a girlfriend how does that affect me?

She looks it.

I am more concerned with her view of the U.S. Constitution! Her age concerns me a little too as she is rather young, and oh yeah SHE HAS NO EXPERIENCE AS A JUDGE! About 2 years as a litigator and same in private practice. This does not make you material for the highest court in our nation. The fact that Obama would even try this is an insult to our nation and it’s people. Hope you like the change he’s bringing in.

From another article;
“But Democrats unanimously defended Kagan this week, and many said her lack of courtroom experience would enhance the diversity of the court, which is now made up entirely of former appellate court judges.”

Yup, same tired diversity argument, and just as in other aspects it does not mean it will be good for people. Kagan would be a highly political judge, the last thing we need. Dang I am so pissed right now!

Gay is personal. Her sexual preferance is inconsequential. She’s married with children so she could be bi. How is this relative and who cares.

Her stance on abortion is what troubles me.

Turns out she’s not gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Who cares. Let’s talk about her qualifications.

I predict all Democrats will love her and all Republicans will claim she will be an activist judge. I say this without knowing a single thing about her or her positions.

She will be confirmed via a party line vote, and once sworn in nobody will really care. All the political grandstanding being done on her behalf is entirely worthless.

Costner may be right. A few republicans will stand up to get free publicity but she’ll be confirmed.
