While I didn’t vote for either candidate when I voted last week, I was really impressed by Scott’s Gargoyle Leader interview. There is no doubt he is a smart person. My problem with Scott is that he is part of the Democratic regime in SD which is wishy-washy.

8 Thoughts on “WOW! Heidi-Scott kicks ass and takes names

“I will make government smaller.” Exactly where? This claim certainly isn’t unique to Heidepriem; but I’m sick of hearing it touted out with no specifics, and then after the election the candidate and constituents somehow forget the promise.

Well… if you cut everyone with the last name “Rounds” you will eliminate around 18 positions right there.

    😉

  3. As you noted, if you watch Heidepriem’s and Daugaard’s interviews back-to-back, it’s not even close. Heidepriem clearly knows where he wants to take the state, while Dennis has just been along for the ride his entire career. As for how to “make government smaller,” I believe Heidepriem has made that abundantly clear on numerous occasions, like bills in the legislature, press conferences and debates, as well as on his website. Leaving Medicaid and K-12 off the table for cuts, he wants to make across-the-board cuts on everything else. Eliminating the millions of dollars in tax breaks we’re giving to TransCanada, ending wasteful no-bid contracts, and getting rid of “phantom FTEs” will save a ton of money right off the bat. And for that matter, so will ending excessive government travel, including getting rid of the fleet of 10 state airplanes–3 just for Rounds and Daugaard to use. It’s sort of “un-South Dakota-like” to be so arrogant and wasteful with taxpayer money.

Doesn’t really matter though…. Heidiscott is over 20 points behind in the polls. No way can he overcome that large of a gap unless video of Daugaard folding a 12 year old boy surfaces.

fondling… not folding. Although maybe in this case they would both have the same effect?

Denny has the nursing home vote sewed up, thus the election.

Daugaard has a barn in his yard and an R behind his name. That’s all that matters in SD. Actual job performance is of no consequence.

  8. He also has a smaller forehead then Scott.
