I have been watching it on the AL site VIA Citylink. So Citylink is successfully recording it, but SIRE is not? I have often wondered why they just don’t LIVE stream Citylink online, and secondly, why they can’t fix SIRE once and for all?

3 Thoughts on “Want to watch the SF city council budget hearings online? Good Luck

  1. Because city I.T. and media services are being run by an incompetent Huether appointee that is more worried about the fine arts and statues then ensuring the essential services she’s responsible for are provided.

Combined with having subordinates underneath her that refuse to make any changes or respond to requests, my guess is nothing will change until a new Mayor gets into office and fixes Huether’s mistake of appointing an incompetent Central Services director.

Every city employee I talk to says the same thing. I.T., Media Services, and Facilities support are the worst they’ve ever seen it and no one is admitting there’s a problem for fear of the wrath of the Mad Mayor.

I.T. and Multimedia Services are a bigger drain on the the General Fund than S.A.M and Paratransit combined. But as the guy in the black hat says the black hole SAM needs to be fixed now. Throw em under the bus and business as usual for Multimedia Services.

  3. I have told councilors and the mayor this is a form of ‘soft censorship’ They deny it, but for F’ck sake, you can’t fix an online software video software program in 2 years?!

This isn’t SOFT anymore, this is blatant.
