I guess there has been a phone survey being conducted in Sioux Falls. Not sure what all the questions were, but it was political in nature. One of the final questions was rating Mayor Huether’s job performance.

I find it strange that someone who has said they are not running for higher office would have a poll out there about their job performance.

If I had to speculate it is one of the mayoral candidates campaigns conducting the survey, and if I had to guess who it was I would say either TenHaken or Entenman.

I personally believe Huether is chopping at the bit to endorse Entenman, and I think they want to see how the public feels about his job performance before they take that step. It also may have to do with the rumor Entenman wants to employ Mike if he wins.

Please contact me if you got the survey, I would be interested in hearing what other questions were asked.

Who answers their phone anymore? If someone calls and doesn’t leave a message, they’re not worth my time. I think Entenman should pay hundreds of thousands on network ads. It’s payback for selling large motorcycles to seniors who can’t ride or sell them. Huether will be a trivia question for the Sioux Falls monopoly game.

  2. I got that call yesterday. Funny thing, when I asked who was funding it, the gal on the other end said that she didn’t know. This is what I remember of the questions:
    1. How would you rate Mayor Mike’s job performance?
    2. What is your opinion of; TenHaken, Entenman, Kenny Anderson Jr., Jamison and Weiland.
    3. If the election were held today, for whom would you vote?
    4. What would you prefer? A younger candidate with new ideas and business experience or an older candidate with experience in gov’t.?
    5. 3 blurbs from TenHaken, Entenman and Jamison were read, (I’m going to fix the roads, get tough on crime, etc.) and I was asked which candidates vision I’d be more likely to support.
    6. Demographic questions; DOB? Are you Republican/Democrat/Other? Strong/Moderate? Conservative/Liberal?

  4. C – That’s interesting. Did they mention Jolene at all?

  5. Not that I can recall. I’m trying to remember some other questions from the survey. There may have been 1 other name mentioned in question 2, but the rest of the questions focused on TenHaken, Entenman and Jamison.

Based on question number 4, and the complete absense of Jolene, I would guess 70% chance put out by tenkakin, 30% by entenmin.

  7. WP, I’m thinking more and more you are right. This is probably being funded by TenHaken. I do know it wasn’t conducted by Jamison.

  8. I did recall one other question.
What would you say is the biggest challenge facing the city council?

I do also remember the survey gal giving a very brief bio of Entenman and Jamison. Nothing substantial, it only mentioned Entenman had run and retired from J&L, and Jamison had served in state and local gov’t.

  9. Or, is it from the business community trying to decide whether to put their money behind Entenman, Jamison, or TenHaken?

Or, better yet, from David Z., who is planning to turn this poll into a PowerPoint at some point….

IMO the biggest challenge facing this city, and it’s council is mistrust. I trust only three people on the dais. Stehly, Starr, and Neitzert. I do not agree with them on all issues, but for the most part have my trust. It should also be noted these three got no money from the local high end business shakers. From national, state, to local politics, politicians in general are reeling. When I see the same business people contributing the maximum amount allowable to both entenmam and tenhaken, those two are automatically eliminated.

The fly in the ointment, and it shows in this phone survey, is Jolene. She knows the issues, and the best part, is not bought and paid for.

False Flag. This poll was not commissioned by who you think! The devil is in the details; or lack thereof. Look closely…
