Then maybe we should just go ahead and have a ribbon cutting for the new “High Speed Train” track and depot out by Brandon, too…. Because it is just a matter of time, right? Canadian, how did I know you would rear your head. Funny part is that the caterer was Rollin Pin, and I’m guessing he wasn’t working for free. So my guess is the food was either paid for by the city (me) or the Chamber who receives money from the city (me) so really, it wasn’t FREE food. But nice try.

The new admin building will be less than half occupied. There was the neighboring mostly unoccupied 300 building with more space that could have been leased for half over 20 years. More waste, more corruption, more Huether!

Well it happened on May 10, 2018 to salty ham sandwiches and potato chips and questionably accurate speeches by soon to be gone Mayor Mike Huether.
They should place a historic marker there in front of the “Centre” to immortalize the once Studio One, Pomp Room Bar, and Romantix lane.
Prior to that era, we were once known to be the “Divorce Capital” of the nation, so its only fair that we remember our history: Where we have been and where we are going… (Well, it looks like Romantix for now)……
For years several people have been trying to get the parking ramp there renamed to ‘The Pomp Ramp’.
I wonder if the neon Pomp Room Bar sign is still out at the Pawn Hall or Concert shop, or whatever it was called…?
