I found it very strange that several public debates are scheduled for governor and congress but the Democrats are not invited?

In all fairness, Bjorkman and Sutton may have declined, which I doubt, but you never know. But I have a feeling they were not asked.

Some would argue this is because the Republicans are the only ones that have a primary, but why not include the Dems? Wouldn’t they add a lot to the debate? It’s almost like the Republicans only matter. Not only are Independents like me left out of an election I am paying for, apparently I am left out of the debates also.

I guess we know which way our media leans.

  1. Why would a Democratic candidate be invited to a Republican PRIMARY debate?

They’re not on the REPUBLICAN PRIMARY BALLOT!

  2. You obviously don’t see this as I do, SHOCKER. Ruf disagrees with me. Get out!

I just think that when you don’t include all the candidates many voters think these are the only 2 or 3 candidates. Yes, voters are that stupid.

  3. Okay – have an Independent primary and don’t invite Repubs.

Ooopsie – “Independent” is specifically NOT an organized party. It’s essentially a bunch of folks who say, “I don’t want nothin’ to do with yer stinkin party politics!!” Well – there you go. You don’t.

Have a Dem primary and don’t invite Repubs. Ooopsie again – they DO this.

  4. SD will never elect a Democrat or a moderate conservative…I hope
Billie wins, but when I drive around soo-foo I see so many Jackley and noem signs.

  5. You’re seriously suggesting our media leans right? Not only is that factually WRONG, its a ridiculous assertion.

  6. “The Republican candidates are (not) getting much more attention now.” Rather, the children of the Republican candidates are getting all of the attention.

In essence, Democrats are running against a bunch of cute kids, and isn’t that cute. But seriously, it demonstrates the juvenile approach to GOP politics in this state, where the GOP does not want to talk about cleaning up Pierre or Washington, rather they are more concerned about which one of their kids is going to take out the trash and whether junior is going to return the rental bowling shoes to the appropriate owner….. #IsntThatCute
