No one was claiming victory without a tear on June 7, 2018 in the Sioux Falls McKennan Park Big Yellow House dispute as it was helped into the basement by the mighty crawlers.

It’s a good thing we come prepared for the unexpected, Cameraman Bruce live-streamed and added 4 other camera views, 3 of which worked well. watch the house come down to rubble from the front and back corners in real time.

The tear down was expected to take 3 1/2 hours and for the most part it did. What a shame but also what a show of skill displayed by the professionals who run the equipment.

This should never have happened and the city of Sioux Falls is once again weaseling it way out of its liability. We’ll see how it works out.

The one thing sure about Sioux Falls city government is they enjoy persecuting citizens without remorse. This sorely needed doctor will leave town and find remarkable status in a city like Rochester MN. Why do we stay? I’m asking myself this question. I spent 40k in uncompensated legal expenses to prove and win how cruel and illegal city government is. I am the fool. I should leave with this doctor and his family. They’re winners for realizing they can’t live with snobs at McKennon Park.

Great video. What was up with that tree at 49:00?

  3. The beautiful Colorado Spruce was pulled out of the ground so the second crawler could be in position to save the McDowell home. There were several viewers who saw the action and groaned in sympathy for the tree.

    Dan,

The wife is the doctor not the husband….

In regards to the tree, as much stuff that got donated to habitat, it would have been nice to let someone come in and spade that tree out and move it somewhere rather than just kill it.

I think the Sapenzia’s played the ultimate game of roll the dice and they paid for it in the end. I think most of the blame falls on them. But it will be interesting to see if the city gets pulled back in as part of the blame as they inspected and signed off.

I just hope they were able salvage any feng shui from the home

  5. The doctor is female. The husband is an entrepreneur. As far as I know, they intend to stay in the Sioux Falls area.

  6. Remember

    The City = The Taxpayers

Always thought it was interesting that Ron Bell, Chief Inspector for the City of SF, retired at the same time this whole debacle was coming down.
