Ok.. I have been poking around about this Amendment W. I have a question regarding FACTS about this amendment. Is this being paid for by out of state money from Massachuttes? I also found that it had about 1300 backers but only 2 from South Dakota. Regardless of what anyone thinks of this, is this true or not. If so I would love to hear Scott’s opinion on out of state money and influences on our State constitution.
It’s kind of a sticky situation because both parties get National donors and money, so why would out of state money matter on ballot issues? Not sure. I do know that SCOTUS has already said ‘money’ is a form of Freedom of Speech and since SD sits within this Republic called the United States they have to abide by the high court’s decision. Out of state money is NOT unconstitutional and really can’t be banned by states.
