So guess which SF City Councilor went to Brookings to buy their Tahoe? Apparently NO dealership in Sioux Falls could get them a good deal. Now that’s some civic pride there!

10 Thoughts on “So much for buying ‘LOCAL’ when serving as a Sioux Falls City Councilor

  1. bTW, I have no idea who it is, the person who sent it wouldn’t tell me. But I have narrowed it down a bit.

  2. how do you know the previous owner bought it there and sold it private party here in Sioux Falls?

I wouldnt pay to have it removed from my vehicle either.

    slow blog day? #nothingburger

  3. Guest, I did think of that, but it is not that hard to get out a hair dryer and peel it off. Who hires people to remove stickers from their vehicle? Also, as I mentioned, I don’t know which councilor it is.

Vehicle sales tax and registration is collected by the county and disbursed throughout the state. Buying elsewhere hardly matters. I’ve bought locally but mostly because it seems there’s better service after the sale.

Billion is local and I had a terrible experience with them. I don’t blame someone, anyone for shopping around.

  7. I had a couple of terrible experiences with Billion like Rachel. I avoid them now at any cost!

I am starting to wonder if the most important goal for the blogger is to just stir the pot.

  9. First off, I posted this as a humorous piece, so you all need to take a chill pill. Secondly, I figured out who it is and I’m NOT going to post their name, but they DID buy the vehicle in Brookings.

BTW, while there are some scrupulous car dealerships in town, there are some good ones. I used to get my VW serviced at Graham, and they were fantastic, often finding many of my repairs covered by recalls, etc.

I have also leased 2 vehicles from Vern Eide and they have been wonderful too.

Believe it or not, there are good dealerships in town. It may have been a case they were looking for a specific kind of Tahoe in the area and found this one.
