Ironic Johnny Thunebag, GIGANTIC HYPOCRITE!

Remember Thune saying Daschle got to big of a head when he became Majority Leader and forgot about South Dakota? It seems Thune, who is now 2nd in charge as Whip is getting a big head. Not only has he forgotten about South Dakotans, he has done NOTHING since he has been Senator, and you would think the guy who was 2nd in charge in the US Senate would be able to advise the President to stop screwing over the farmers.

John Thune. FAIL!

You should start a countdown clock for January of 2023: The end of Thunes current term. With his popularity now below 60% and the jinx of a fourth term upon him, these could be his final political years….

#2 scott on 11.14.18 at 3:07 pm

i’m sure the dems will wait until about 6 months before the election to try and find a candidate. if they find one at all.

#3 Ljl on 11.14.18 at 3:52 pm

How is it that farmers are getting screwed over? Soybean prices have been steadily going down for the past 5 years with Chinese currency manipulation.

Thune isn’t the liberal that Daschle was but niether is the electorates in his state. Daschle let the lefties like you cut his throat.

#4 l3wis on 11.14.18 at 4:02 pm

LJL, instead of bashing a guy who has been gone a long time, I have a task for you, list 5 accomplishments of Thune in the Senate that has made life better or richer for South Dakotans.

#5 Taco Bar on 11.14.18 at 4:09 pm

Scott, I can guarantee you that there will be a Democratic candidate in ’22…. Trust me!

#6 Ljl on 11.14.18 at 4:39 pm

So pointing out Daschle voted liberal from a conservative state is bashing him? Problem with facts? Keeping the repub party together to hold firm on the Kavanaugh vote is easily johns biggest accomplishment for SD recently. Keeping the west river air base is another. What did Tom do for us? Some BS farm bill or bridge.

Folks like you believe Tom should have been loyal to the party rather than the voters.

While we’re here, I made a point to catch your Lalley show appearances yesterday and I was flabbergasted by your belief you don’t make your attacks personal. I can’t believe your really that delusional.

#7 Taco Bar on 11.14.18 at 4:40 pm

Thune is a Karl Mundt with portfolio….. Well, I take that back, Mundt was a fourth termer…. 😉

#8 l3wis on 11.14.18 at 4:53 pm

LJL, I left the Democratic party because of Daschle. When he voted to let GW decide to go to war with Afghanistan, I switched to independent.

Voting for a Neo-Con SC Judge has little to no affect on my life and certainly doesn’t help 99% of South Dakotans. Saving a base we don’t need and needless spending by the Pentagon doesn’t help me much either, just costs me more.

As I figured, you couldn’t list 5 accomplishments and the ones you said really don’t count.

When I talk about ‘personal’ attacks, I’m talking about politician’s personal lives. Do I rip on things they do in the public eye as a public servant. Oh yeah, but I could care less what they do on their own time.

I often tell people I have personal dirt on dozens of local politicians, but it’s all personal BS that I could care less about. Besides it’s none of my business. But if they do something absurd when spending my money, I will attack and I will attack hard.

Considering this state values are conservative and based in religious principles, any judge nominated by a democract would not upholds this states values. Kavanagh’s seat will have actual long lasting effects on the people of this state.

Keeping our only military base open isn’t a win for SD? A hell of a lot of west river folks depend on that base, but I guess you really don’t care about anyone else since you used the word “me” twice in that sentence.

Whole lotta blather with little thought sums up your original post.

Here you go little buddy. All 660 bills. Most are ag related. You know ag, the largest industry in South Dakota in which 3 out of 5 South Dakota jobs depend on.

#10 kurtz on 11.15.18 at 6:32 am

Thune colluded to steal the 2016 election for Trump.

#11 l3wis on 11.15.18 at 8:44 am

SD is very purple. We prove that time and time again when we vote on initiatives. We have voted prochoice twice in the state, we have voted to increase the minimum wage, we have voted for corruption reform. You know who thinks our state is mostly conservative? People like you LJL and the GOP majority in Pierre. That’s it.

As for your comment about only one military base in SD. That’s funny. Most small towns throughout SD have National Guard Armories and SF has a major air force base. If the base closed in Western SD, it would rebound.

Looked through those bills, mostly help big business and do very little for individuals.

#12 guest on 11.15.18 at 9:34 am

the only Air Force base in SD is in Elsworth not Sioux Falls.

The 114th fighter wing in based out of Sioux Falls is for the Air National Guard.

#13 l3wis on 11.15.18 at 9:42 am

Splitting Hairs.

Either way it is still a MILITARY base.

#14 D@ily Spin on 11.15.18 at 10:21 am

Thune is not perfect. However, SD is getting recognition with he as minority whip. I wouldn’t brand him as loser. I’m Indy and he’ll promote the republican agenda. What worries me is he’ll try to stop the Mulder investigation. Trump has been playing Nixon and should be exposed.

#15 Taco Bar on 11.15.18 at 11:48 am

Actually, Thune flip-flopped, when it came to Trump and the ’16 election cycle, during the Access Hollywood controversy.

#WillTheRealThunePleaseStandUp (No wait a minute, that’s the same line that can be used about Rounds and ObamaCare, too…..)

#16 moses on 11.15.18 at 12:38 pm

Photo op will like this.He does nothing for the state and gets paid big bucks. When this guy was electedhe said he could do more.So where is health care for all veterans photo op,

#17 moses on 11.15.18 at 12:40 pm

These politicians will come out and say they support vets when the roll call is called they vote against vets on health care .Photo op was good at that.

#18 Taco Bar on 11.15.18 at 3:45 pm

Hey, here’s Thune’s first speech on the floor of the Senate as the new Whip:

So in other words, Thune is calling for the resignation of Senator McConnell as the Majority Leader, right?…. Because wasn’t it McConnell who vowed to his caucus in ’09 to make Obama a one term president by not cooperating with our 44th president?

#19 Ljl on 11.15.18 at 3:50 pm

SD is a purple state you say! I’ll keep that in mind for your future posts. South Dakotans vote what’s best for its people regardless of politics, which your beloved tommy did not do and that’s what got him fired

You’ve successfully cocooned yourself in a liberal echo chamber. Good luck.

#20 l3wis on 11.15.18 at 3:55 pm

“South Dakotans vote what’s best for its people regardless of politics,”

Yup, that is why we are a purple state NOT a conservative state as you profess. The Neocons in the state think by constantly saying we are all as conservative as them that that makes it the truth.

#21 Taco Bar on 11.15.18 at 4:06 pm

What got Abdnor fired? He was conservative……
