Remember Thune saying Daschle got to big of a head when he became Majority Leader and forgot about South Dakota? It seems Thune, who is now 2nd in charge as Whip is getting a big head. Not only has he forgotten about South Dakotans, he has done NOTHING since he has been Senator, and you would think the guy who was 2nd in charge in the US Senate would be able to advise the President to stop screwing over the farmers.

LJL, I left the Democratic party because of Daschle. When he voted to let GW decide to go to war with Afghanistan, I switched to independent.
Voting for a Neo-Con SC Judge has little to no affect on my life and certainly doesn’t help 99% of South Dakotans. Saving a base we don’t need and needless spending by the Pentagon doesn’t help me much either, just costs me more.
As I figured, you couldn’t list 5 accomplishments and the ones you said really don’t count.
When I talk about ‘personal’ attacks, I’m talking about politician’s personal lives. Do I rip on things they do in the public eye as a public servant. Oh yeah, but I could care less what they do on their own time.
I often tell people I have personal dirt on dozens of local politicians, but it’s all personal BS that I could care less about. Besides it’s none of my business. But if they do something absurd when spending my money, I will attack and I will attack hard.
Considering this state values are conservative and based in religious principles, any judge nominated by a democract would not upholds this states values. Kavanagh’s seat will have actual long lasting effects on the people of this state.
Keeping our only military base open isn’t a win for SD? A hell of a lot of west river folks depend on that base, but I guess you really don’t care about anyone else since you used the word “me” twice in that sentence.

SD is very purple. We prove that time and time again when we vote on initiatives. We have voted prochoice twice in the state, we have voted to increase the minimum wage, we have voted for corruption reform. You know who thinks our state is mostly conservative? People like you LJL and the GOP majority in Pierre. That’s it.
As for your comment about only one military base in SD. That’s funny. Most small towns throughout SD have National Guard Armories and SF has a major air force base. If the base closed in Western SD, it would rebound.

the only Air Force base in SD is in Elsworth not Sioux Falls.
The 114th fighter wing in based out of Sioux Falls is for the Air National Guard.

Thune is not perfect. However, SD is getting recognition with he as minority whip. I wouldn’t brand him as loser. I’m Indy and he’ll promote the republican agenda. What worries me is he’ll try to stop the Mulder investigation. Trump has been playing Nixon and should be exposed.
