Noem’s 1st order of business, violating separation of church and state

“I saw the light, I saw the light, no more laws, no more rights.” – NOT Hank Sr.

Got to hand it to Noem, besides not refunding the city of Sioux Falls for her own personal security detail, she now wants to hold (X-tian) church services in the Capital Rotunda (wonder if she will reimburse the good taxpayers of the state for use of the facility and utilities?);

Gov.-Elect Kristi Noem’s campaign says she will hold a prayer service in the Capitol rotunda Sunday, her first full day as governor.”On my first full day as governor, I will be hosting a Sunday morning prayer and worship service in the Capitol rotunda,” Noem wrote in an email to supporters. “Please join me and my family as we dedicate the next four years to the Lord and spend some time worshiping Him.”

The service will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday. Noem and other statewide officers will be inaugurated Saturday.

Well maybe she will leave me alone while she concentrating on the X-tian God? I expect all kinds of unconstitutional boloney that will keep our barely brain functioning AG busy. It’s going to be a very scary 4 years.

The actual constitutional language regarding religion.

1st Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Is there a Church of Satan in South Dakota? If this were happening in other states the Church of Satan would be all over this and want to hold their own service too in Capitol Rotunda.

Satan is well represented in our government these days.

And I am pretty sure he is NOT a registered Democrat.

I see Rhoden has to show off he is X-TRA X-TIAN by using TWO bibles when he is sworn in. It always cracks me up when the GOP rails against muslims, and the middle east countries for being theocracies when in SD it is their wet dream to install Christianity in government. Hypocrites.

I also see Noem has plenty of money to pay back the city;

I also see a Canadian oil company is now funding Noem.

Just how many snowplows does the State actually own?

Oh, and Jesus would be a Democrat, while I think Satan is a member of the Freedom Caucus.

“……Let’s just give them access to health care, shall we?”

This is where Christians get it wrong. God gives us FREE WILL. If God gives us free will, we should respect that and not impose that on others. That is one of the reasons this country was created.

Jesus would not be a Democrat or a Republican, that is such a dumb thing to say. He would rebuke both parties for various reasons that are too long to list. He would never be part of a party that advocates abortion. There USED to be room in the Democrat party for Christians and Pro-Life but, not any more.

In any event I think Noem has this wrong. I respect (if she truly has them) her Christian beliefs but, stop forcing people to participate in that stuff. If you believe preach the Gospel on our own time, do things outside of your role as Governor and lead by example. I hate to admit it but, I also think Paul T is more like Noem, a fake Christian. A true Christian will not boast of accolades but, will be a true Servant Leader.

A little history lesson for you. Republicans supported Roe V Wade because they truly felt it wasn’t government’s right to tell a woman what to do. In fact GW Bush’s father helped create Planned Parenthood

GW Bush was Pro-Choice until he ran with Reagan and he changed his tune.

As I have noted before, no one is 100% Prolife or 100% Prochoice, which defaults you for being Prochoice. While most would agree, as I do, that using abortion as birth control is deplorable, I have often argued if we would just give out FREE birth control, we would eliminate MOST abortions. As for my prochoice argument, when you bring up health of a mother, rape and incest, people quickly become prochoice.

Overturning Roe V Wade would be a disaster in the making. There are so many other reasons why abortion should be legal besides birth control, and most people would agree.

I specifically said Jesus would not support EITHER party. I am at the point I barely support any R’s. Abortion is disgusting no matter what the circumstances. Lets put aside the incest/rape/moms life that barely register on the abortion radar for second as that is a straw man argument. I do not care if Bush or Regan or ANY Republican supported it. Its wrong period.

Lets break down the reasons people support abortion

Woman’s Choice to do with her body what she wishes – First the baby growing inside the woman is not part of your body its another human being. This is how we procreate and this is just basic fact. We should protect the most vulnerable in our society. A baby cannot talk or communicate its wishes so we should speak for them

Viability – Some argue that if the Baby is not viable outside the womb its not a person yet. That definition has changed since Roe V Wade. In the 70’s babies born premature had little chance for survival yet today with technology many survive and thrive. So that needle keeps moving. If viability is an argument, why not Post birth abortion (killing outright). I know this sounds dumb but, when you are no longer viable (car accident, old age, etc) on your own we use life support and all kinds of things and we dont terminate life unless we have a DNR . Why not keep going with this argument to its full conclusion

We also get into the argument when does Life Begin, conception, heartbeat, when its born, etc. If we use the Lefts argument, I counter it and say why not let people abort (kill) their baby right before delivery. If the argument is its not a person until its born, lets start allowing full term abortion (yes many states allow 3rd trimester abortions but, you get my drift). Sick as it sounds at least they would be consistent. Most people would be repulsed by it and would cry foul as they should.

Birth Control Argument – If you cannot find a condom, birth control pills, etc your not trying hard enough. The Famed Planned Parenthood gives out some of this stuff for free.

In 99% of the all cases there is not excuse for an abortion. People making bad choices that kill another human being. There are several ways to prevent this,
1 – Stop F*cking
2 – Use SOME form of birth control, we are not a 3rd world country as its readily available
3 – Adoption – How about owning the mistake and not killing a baby. There are many loving couples who will adopt and not enough babies to adopt.

Overturning Roe V Wade would not be a disaster. Why would this even be an issue, we all know what causes pregnancy, we all know how to prevent it, we know there are other options besides killing the kid like adoption. This is not the 50s where we shipped ladies off to far off relatives to have the baby out of wedlock, give it up for adoption, and come back like nothing happened because of social stigma. So I do agree with you that abortion is a shitty form of birth control, its also murder.

What I often hear from people who are pro choice is this. I would never have an abortion BUT….

The reason you often hear that is because I believe deep down people know this shit is wrong plain and simple. You hear heartbeats at 8 weeks, fingernails grow at 11 weeks. Technology has allowed us to see the baby in the womb and to deny that is not a person is ludicrous and denial of reality. I know I get off topic but, the point was Jesus would never support political parties and not one that supports God Children. He was here to fulfill Gods law which differs from man. Now if you dont believe in God, that is a completely separate topic but, to invoke Jesus would be a Democrat its quite apparent your not Christian as abortion is supported by this party 100%. Flawed as they are most Republicans today do not support that crap.
