Sioux Falls Housing Director now using city funded program to promote her run for TEA city council

Chellee appeared on Inside Town Hall in November when she was still working for SE Tech,

She posted this image of her on the show on her campaign FB page;

She is bragging about working with SIOUX FALLS city councilors to get some pork for SE Tech (a place that is funded through our property taxes and sales taxes to the state), which has nothing to do with Tea and now that she works for the City of Sioux Falls, she will have to work with councilors, which brings us to why this is a conflict.

I’m not sure if any campaign rules were broken with this post, but I still would like to see an ethics question posed by the administration as to whether it is ethical for her to run for Tea City Council. I guess they are too busy trying to defend closed door meetings.

She must have an in with the Sioux Falls Mayor. More unethical behavior from this administration.

Haven’t you heard? There are no norms any more. Some Republicans run as Democrats while other Republicans now embrace Russia, city employees run for offices in other towns, and fundamentalists back a President with a pornstar girlfriend…..And these new found freedoms are liberating too, until the liberated are, however, incarcerated by those lacking any sense of due process norms.

VSG, stop playing. Both Rs and Ds are different wings of the SAME bird. Dont act as though Dems arent doing and havent done the same thing you are accussing Rs of. The problem is THEM vs US. Once in politics they forget about us real people and only are working for money, power, and greed. Like those in the entertainment industry, they have made deals with the devil to get what they want and it is at the expensve of the average American citizen.

You speak of the elite, do you not? And I cannot disagree, but I have greater hope for Democrats to recapture their political party, than the Republicans, however.

Elitism, the 1%, and the rigging of our economy are the greatest threats to our republic and or democracy. The elitists have destroy our middle class and in so doing they have destroyed are future…..for now.

I do not know Chellee or anything about her. Nothing personal here but I filed an Ethics violation against the sitting mayor in 2014.

Looks like I could erase the name and update the dates on the filing i made in 2014 and insert her name and offending dates:

The Ordinance and Executive Order explicitly forbid Chellee from using city resources to run for any office.

BTW, I’m kind of glad this issue came up because I realized something very significant. Thank you Chellee and Scott.

I’m sure her competitor for Tea Council will make her serving as SF Housing Director an issue. What if she’s elected then brought before ethics hearings of both cities? Another Manafort type tried and retried? Was there collusion?

I think one of the reasons Chellee decided to run is because it is an empty seat, not sure if she has a challenger.

VSG: thank you for both of your above comments. Excellent!

The evil elites sit on both sides of the party isle. Both corrupt Ds and Rs are only out for themselves and those that truly care about their constituents and this nation (and there are a few left on BOTH sides) are so much in the minority right now that they don’t stand a chance to make this nation what it could be. The corrupt people want their NWO and they want it now.
