Like their leader Trump, the SD GOP is full of it

Only one other person besides the SD GOP Chair could spread this much B.S. in two paragraphs, their leader, Trump;

Chairman Dan Lederman noted “It’s too bad that Democrat leadership decided they were bankrupt both financially as well as competing in the arena of ideas. Even more so today, the weight of finding solutions to our challenges and leading our state are strictly on the shoulders of the Republican party.”

“If Democrats want to find a way to get back on their feet in South Dakota, they need to come together with Republicans and listen to their neighbors about keeping taxes low, helping them live the American dream, and letting them prosper based on our own initiatives. That’s what the SDGOP has always believed, and our party’s sustained success reflects that.” Lederman said.

Let’s review;

• It’s called the ‘Democratic Party’. Republicans think they are cute when they call it the ‘Democrat Party’. The party has never changed their name. It’s their way of being childish and condescending, another thing their leader Trump is good at.

• While the Republican Party does have the numbers, their supposed majority leadership has only lead to multiple petition drives and initiatives that have been turned over by the voters.

• Sales taxes are actually regressive and harm the poorest in the state the most. When you look at property taxes in combination with sales taxes our taxes individually as middle class citizens actually have a high tax burden. The only ones getting enormous tax breaks are the rich and corporations. Why do you think Billions in trust accounts sit in our state or RVer’s register their address here. Do the math.

• As for living the ‘American Dream’ South Dakotans, while some of the most productive in the nation, get paid some of the lowest wages in almost every professional and technical field in the nation. On top of that, we have some of the most expensive public education institutions in the nation. The right to work laws and anti-organized labor initiatives of the SD GOP have made us into a prehistoric institution.

While it is unfortunate that the SD Democratic Party hasn’t been viable in years, it doesn’t help that the SD GOP has played this hoax of ‘Living the Dream’ on hard working South Dakotans. But that’s all the SD GOP and their fearless leader are good at, LYING, they have truly been successful on that front.

The radical national DNC has made it very hard for state parties to be normal.

I find it hard to ever take constructive criticism from a political leader in our country, who once lobbied for an other country (Saudi Arabia), that kills journalist.

I find it hard too, to ever take advice from a political party leader, who spiels the virtues of self-reliance, while their political party – while in the majority – is dependent upon the federal government in order for the state, it leads, to balance its state budgets.

I find it incredible to think that a political leader brags of helping to promote prosperity and the American dream, when the two biggest industries in this state – agriculture and tourism – are so heavily dependent upon federal expenditures, in terms of federal farm aid and a federal transportation bill, to prevail, which in turn, then allows many to truly experience the American dream in this state.

We all have our dreams and perhaps we are all guilty of exuberant idealism at times, but the South Dakota Republican Party has no right, nor track record, to be the one to claim, that they are the party of self-reliance, prosperity, and the American dream. Because the greatest form of self-reliance is found when one is empowered to enjoy that self-reliance, and one cannot be empowered merely through altruistic ideas, if there is not the hope of opportunity, and this opportunity in a heterogeneous society like ours comes from a combination of the people and their government at work together.

Unlike the Republican Party, the Democratic Party believes in what the people through their government can accomplish together, while the opposing Republican Party prefers to use government as nothing more than a whipping boy, or a mechanism to enrich a few.

It is the Democratic Party, which twice in the last ninety years has saved capitalism through the profound leadership of FDR and Obama, which is the crux of any true self-reliance and prosperity – capitalism that is – while the Republican Party has a track record of multiple economic crashes from Coolidge/Hoover to George W. Bush, and perhaps Trump , too; which have all, in their time, threaten the engine of capitalism, and thus the opportunity for true prosperity and self-reliance.

So let Republicans dream that they are the political party of prosperity and self-reliance. Let the Republicans bask in the joy of the current SDDP problems, but let us all know that the final chapter of the SDDP has not yet been written, nor will it be soon, as long as history continues to look to the Democratic Party – both nationally and in this state – to work to empower people, so that regardless of their race, gender, creed, or orientation, they can have the opportunity to prosper, and thus enjoy the fruits of true self-reliance through a broadening empowerment involving the people and their government.

“… they need to come together with Republicans …”
Yes, simply do as Lederman – change their party registration.
Become that which is known as a ‘Lederman Republican’.

The official website of the Democratic Party is ‘democrats.org’.

Just sayin’

‘Self-reliance’ is merely the salve offered to the rubes by Lederman Republicans as rhetoric during campaign season.
After the elections, their practice in governing is founded less in self reliance; more along the lines of EB-5, Gear Up, and aquatic enterprises on the prairie (Global Aquaponics and trū Shrimp).

But, to your favor JKC, Sr, with each election cycle, those Lederman Republicans in Sioux Falls are slowly electing more and more candidates from the Democratic slate. Sioux Falls is gradually turning blue, beginning from the bowels of the southern neighborhoods – notwithstanding official political party registration rolls, nor the color of the siding on their homes.

I still think it is funny an Iowa Jew runs the S.D. Republican Party and his business is making money from criminals.

( – and Woodstock ponders: “What?!!…..What?!!…..A Jew from Iowa is hanging with Saudis?….. Next you are going to try to tell me that guy, who use to be on The Apprentice, is also our president….. And let me guess, Ivanka has a security clearance, too?”)

Olivia did well in taupeville, but she was a unique candidate. If you look at Democratic numbers in Sioux Falls for legislative races, their numbers collapse south of 57th street. Only Trump and his existence combined with female Democratic candidates make the Dems viable in Sioux Falls right now. When Trump eventually goes, however, then this game plan vanishes, too.

( – and Woodstock states: “‘#taupeturningblue?’…. Hurry! Get them some oxygen, but make sure they fill out the absentee ballots first…”)
