Word on the street is if you need Med Mary on July 1st and have a doctor’s prescription you may be able to get it on Tribal land in Flandreau. I have NOT seen the facility, but there have been rumors going around that they will be ready to dispense on July 1st. I am NOT an attorney, so I’m not sure if it will be legal to purchase and transport the Jane to your home off of the reservation to other South Dakota communities, so I guess I would advise anyone who does have a prescription to read the fine print before purchasing it after July 1st.

11 Thoughts on “Will the Tribe in Flandreau be offering Medical Marijuana on July 1st?

I’m thinking we’re a long way from medical given there are no doctors approved for prescribing. I’ve searched a few times but to no avail. Will also assume this will be another foot-dragging experience with our state.
Thanks for supporting your citizens Queen Noem.

Mary Jane and gambling are not a good mix. It gives a new meaning to the term “High Roller”. Medicine doctors have always been ahead of the curve, however, just ask Lt. Dunbar. But Flandreau ended Janklow, so it could be the answer to what ails you. Be careful though, not only is one person’s pain another person’s gain, but it can also be your last highway to freedom. So, hopefully, it’s a big puff while it lasts.

It is NOT legal to buy and sell medical marijuana anywhere in the State of South Dakota. The State has not issued any license for doing so, nor has any Local Government provided for, nor handed out any Permit for transacting legally, any such activity.

It is basically, enter at your own ‘risk’ – If you purchase Medical Marijuana from within any of the 7 Sovereign Territories in our boundaries, it is NOT legal to transport it across ‘state borders’ as per federal law.

Those “Sovereign Individuals” licensed, and permitted to transact commercial activity within those territories, DO NOT have a S.D Business License, nor a Local Permit for selling to any S.D Citizen or Resident outside those territories.

Privately, you may not be held responsible, but those individuals selling the marijuana will be held accountable, and may be forced to be Fined, Penalized, Sanctioned, let alone Punished.

Until the State of South Dakota promulgates rules, procedures, and regulations for doing such, the LAW is not fully in effect at this time.

Reservations are sovereign. They’re separate and exempt from state authority. Pot can happen without Noem. It’s not can they. It’s why don’t they and why haven’t they? Imbibe on the reservation. If you’re still high coming back, there’s no test for THC without a hospital trip. By the time you get there, your TRIP is over and it’s a false arrest with lots of police paperwork and potential civil rights litigation.

Oh, the wet dreams of the authoritarians who are loosing their grip on the devil’s weed. It’s time to end the madness.

‘Reefer Madness’ never ended. It was just a transfer of madness to authorities, who now fear losing their own designed self-righteous high.

    Daily Spin,

“YOU” have pass thru rights as you pass t hru South Dakota to your destination. IN between if the LAW finds marijuana in your possession is it currently ILLEGAL.

Yes – the TRIBE is a sovereign territory, they have the right to make Marijuana legal within t heir boundaries, any ‘soveriegn’ does where they is a defined ‘border’.

You may have the right to go to their territory, buy weed, but you get pulled over, and the cops find weed in your vehicle, its ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK, the cop is gonna issue you a citation to appear before a judge.

Again, The State of South Dakota is NOT at the moment issuing Licenses, and there is no Permits being granted in Sioux Falls at the moment. It is ILLEGAL to buy and sell “Pot” outside that territory until the State promulgates the rules, which of course they are working on.

It is the same as for me, I am licensed to buy and sell USED CARS – it is also illegal for “YOU” Sell a vehicle for profit anywhere inside South Dakota without a license, the Individual will be fined or ordered to appear in court, where the you would have to present evidence you are not selling cars for a PROFIT.

You may be able to sell your own private car, but you are not doing so for profit, you are merely getting your money back.

The same is true in this case, NO LICENSE, no permission. IF THEY get caught selling to YOU, they risk being fined, punished, taken to court.

Just like what happened in 2016

More restaurants and hotels for Flandreau. Pot makes you hungry and horny. It’s not harmful if it’s a promising business plan.

The 1920s once again? Is Noem the new Coolidge in the Hills? Carvings at Mt. Rushmore again?..: Trump? Are black SUVs the Model “Ts” of our time? What will be the “A”? What about pearl white ones? Are these UFOs a modern day “Lucy in the Sky…..” thanks to Mary Jane, or merely Lindberg coming out of the clouds? Are put orders in order, too? Because I just know that Wall Street will eventually “Lay(s) an Egg”. Or, is that a Putin order, which will cause us all to be hacked and a part of the fallen. Oh, and does anyone want to volunteer to play Hoover for the final act?
