I asked two Alaskan friends of mine to weigh in on governor Palin, this is from the one who lives in Seward which is east of Anchorage on the Southern coast.
I’ve had so many people email asking about Sarah the Beautiful.  Unfortunately, they think she would make a great VP. I guess they don’t care if she has any experience. Â

She would be a great candidate if we were voting for the Queen (beauty queen). Will Todd give up his title as 1st Dude to be the husband of a VP? What was I thinking…Sarah has never settle for being #2…maybe we should, “Rite her in for President”. I’d love to joke about Sarah, but I’m really too scared. How stupid are Americans to believe that she has experience because she has been the mayor of one of the larger communities in Alaska?  Does the rest of the USA realize that she was the mayor of Wasilla…a town of about 6,000 people…a town that is referred to as “Valley Trash” since it is part of the Mat-Su valley and there is garbage everywhere.  There are bumper stickers here that say “Dear Lord Jesus help me get out of Wasilla”.  To understand the humor in this, all you have to do is try to drive through this little cluster flip of a community.  You’ve got to love her foreign policy experience of living close to Russia…wow.  That’s my 2 cents.

Also a good thing that Obama’s gonna win in a landslide – or at least that’s what we keep hearing.
It’s still gonna be close, if Obama wins by over 4-5 points, I’ll be surprised. I like what he said on 60 minutes the other night, perfect answer (paraphrasing).
Q: You know there are probably some people who won’t vote for you because you are black.
A: Probably, but there is also people who will vote for me, because I am black, so it is all a wash.
That’s probably the most intelligent answer I’ve heard to that question. Somehow the pundits for both sides missed that point.
I’m guessing at much higher turnout in the southern states due to the number of black folks who want to see Barry in the White House. Whatever gets people to the polls is good, IMO.
Obama’s local campaign offices (let’s face it, the national polling numbers are a waste of time – you can win Cali with 90% and put yourself way ahead in the popular vote, but it won’t win the election) seem to be better organized and motivated than McCain’s.
If he can just keep a muzzle on Biden until the debate, he should win.
Yeah, they need to hide him in the Cheney Cave with Palin.
Seward thinks the Valley is full of garbage… Seward is full of dead fish maybe… Valley trash = white trash from the Valley, a term coined by former-state senator Ben Stevens, son of former-US Senator Ted Stevens.
