I have been thinking about this every since the fake governor appeared on the Colbert Report.

No TV commercials. No print ads. No radio. No direct mail. Zilch. Why wouldn’t the former Lt. Governor endorse his former boss? We all know Dennis is going to wallop Wismer. What is he afraid of?

EB-5 seems to be a virus that Dennis is trying to shake. C’mon Dennis. Endorse your former BFF.

11 Thoughts on “Why hasn’t Gov. Daugaard endorsed Mike Rounds for senate?

    He knows something.

  2. He endorsed Rounds in early 2013 when it was still possible for Noem to run for US Senate. But I agree with you that it’s surprising we don’t see them on the trail together as a team. Rounds cut an ad for Daugaard in 2010’s primary and Daugaard hasn’t even spoken at a Rounds rally. Introducing he and Huckabee would have been a perfect place to do something like that.

  3. Gosh, could it be that he doesn’t want to be endorsing someone who wants to do away with the Federal Dep’t of Education? How embarrassing is that for our state?

Agreed, EB-5 must be a bigger scandal than First suspected. Have you noticed attack adds address both other candidates.

  5. WOW, thanks for finding that. I figured he endorsed him at one time or another. But he is running from him like you wouldn’t believe. Heck, yesterday he was sharing the stage with Mayor Huether at O’Gorman

I hear Daugaard stepped in it at O’Gorman. He joked that his sister-in-law was “the attendance Nazi” (she worked in the OG office a few years back), with about a dozen German-exchange students in the audience.

Meantime, MMM gave an uplifting account of growing up with an alcoholic dad and a bowl haircut.

At least Denny had new material!

  7. Well at least he didn’t say “the attendance ISIL”

Yeah, how many f’ing times do we have to hear that story? We get it. He should just make a DVD called ‘MMM: My Youth’ and hand it out at press conferences.

I also thought it a bit odd that the AL was so short on photos for their Wednesday paper they had to print two of Mike today. I guess the paper will be laying some photags off to. Maybe they can just open an Instagram account for Huether so he can send selfies to them.

That would be Lots of Laughs.

  8. Dauggard must be using Rounds’ ad people, as his commercials are almost as bad. Look, Dennis knows how to change a lightbulb! He’s the same ol’ Dumb Denny!

  9. doesn’t denny’s ad forget to mention that the reason he hugs his kids where ever is that he hired them to work for the state?

  10. Was mike moved to tears?

I’ve wondered the same thing about Rick Weiland and Tom Daschle.

Weiland was the former director of National Finance for Tom Daschle, so why haven’t we heard a word from Daschle in support of Rick Weiland?!
