While people have hammered me about being nicer to Mike and to get over my ‘sour grapes’ I find it astounding that a guy who won is still crying about things people said about him.
Let’s clear something up Mike. YOU WON! And you won because you hired a professional bad ass campaigner to run your campaign, and you spent a gob of money. Partisanship, gays, abortion, short bald men and big mouths like me, Tracy and Ches had nothing to do with it.
I opposed you for a number of reasons, and 90% of them were funny shit that no one cares about (like your campaign colors being totally awful.) The main reason I opposed you is simple; You became a millionaire on the backs of poor people who have no understanding of finances and credit cards, all the while telling people you came from where they came from. Trust me, if First Premier would have came knocking on your mom’s door, she would have taken it, and you know it. Maybe that was your advantage as marketing VP of FP Bankcard, you knew how to sucker your own kind.
So please, if you want to be an effective mayor, stop worrying about your image, your hair and your precious daughter, and start worrying about us, the ones who fund your four year (hopefully) adventure.

His comment was ““the last two weeks weren’t fun because of some of the tactics used”, but it is possible he wasn’t happy with some of the tactics used against Staggers as well. Mike doesn’t control everyone and has no say in what bloggers such as yourself do – and you weren’t the only one taking heat for your viewpoint.
In either case, what he said was true – and I think a lot of voters were not impressed by some of the tactics used from both sides. That is one area I think Staggers really let me down in when he decided to start running around telling everyone Mike was a liberal and that he (Staggers) was the Republican. The campaign flyers with Mike and Daschle together for instance… I could have done without that tone.
What about the robo calls staggers did trying to compare mike to Obama? Sioux Falls voted for Obama

I wish Mike would. The story was about time frames and whether or not a runoff is fair (I think it is) not about what political opponents do with that time or campaign tactics. It starting to look like a cycle with Mike. First he says he has a transition team, then he says he wants to be transparent. The next day he refuses to tell us who the team is, then the next day he tells us he doesn’t have one? He did this throughout the campaign, different answers on different days. He has a right to piss and moan about people being mean to him, but for christ sakes HE WON! Who cares what happened in the past. He sure worries about his image way to much.
John- I agree, that wasn’t very wise. Obama won in Minnehaha county.
Sure Obama won here, but I don’t think he would today nor will he in 2012. Too many of his decisions have revealed that his campaign promises were all bullshit.
I just hope Huether doesn’t fall into that same mode.
Oh, I think Mike truly wants to do the things he says he wants to do, but it is much easier to make promises then to keep them.
