Rumor has it the city will appeal to the SD Supreme Court in Dan Daily’s case against the city. Apparently they think they are more powerful then the US Constitution’s 5th amendment and due process rights.

What a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Fix your broken system and move on already.

It would certainly be cheaper. We already pay the people who would change the system.

Constitutional rights are still protected and guarranteed.

It’s hard to fight state and federal constitutions. Every 6 weeks you need 2 weeks vacation and a $56,000 bonus. Wrong supreme court timing and you’ll not get reelected. There’s also no shot at turning the governor’s office into another dictatorship.

Private attorneys are representing the city.

Taxpayers pay for a new city attorneys office expansion plus private attorney contractors. A budget breaker with no public benefit. Look for state/federal watchdog intervention, 2006-2010 civil procedures litigation, and high risk insurance expenditure.

  6. I live by Joe Foss school. My neighbor just got a letter about cleaning up his area. I guess his van he parks on his cement pad in the back of his house off the alley had outdated tags. The wood under the van was a fire hazard.

The funny thing is, he has one of the best kept lawns and area in the neighborhood.
