UPDATE: Watch the mayor take his ball and go home when questioned by KSFY about his financial interests. You can also see that the mayor has a family trust (DOC: Huether-trust) Makes you wonder how many of his ‘investments’ he is hiding in this trust.

Heck, even if I had decided to run for council, my financial disclosure would be longer.

The Mayor doesn’t even mention he works for the city. Maybe it’s a volunteer position? STOP VOLUNTEERING!

As I understand it, any dividends over $2,000 a year need to be listed from your investments, oh, and the names of those investments. My KFC comment card is longer.

I want to see the mayor’s birth certificate. (Stinky-Links)

10 Thoughts on “UPDATE: Is the mayor following election financial disclosure rules?

This is a direct violation of campaign finance law and according to the city charter:

§ 38.036 CANDIDATE MAY NOT BE CERTIFIED OR TO FORFEIT OFFICE FOR VIOLATION.
If any candidate is proved in a contest of an election or is proved to have intentionally made any false, fraudulent or misleading statement or entry in any statement of organization, campaign finance disclosure statement, other statement or amendment, the candidate may not be certified for election or the candidate shall forfeit his or her office. The office shall be declared vacant and shall be filled in the manner provided by the charter of the city.

Scott, please file an ethics complaint or take this to the court of law. This misstep could throw Huethers name off the ballet or at least put a misdemeanor on his record for misleading the public.

  3. Boom, you have it in a nutshell. This finance report is just arrogance. It says, look at me I don’t have to follow the rules, only you do.

Why would anyone accept this report and not question it? Why do we have to look at them and force the city attorney to reject it. The city attorney should have already filed a complaint and stopped the sham before it blew up in front of us.

We have been finding so many violations in the way this mayor has directed the city to operate this election process. It is becoming a hucksters carnival trying to find and expose all the pieces so it can be a fair election.

To those who question why we are hitting these ballot measures so hard and the where ‘abouts’ of the 3 Charter amendments, this is a prime example why these measures must be openly presented.

Is there an attorney who help us file this complaint and a few others?

This is no joking matter. There are clear violations of state and city law needing a court of law to sort out.

DL, would you forward them to us?

  6. so is our mayor worth over 3 million dollars

With assets I’m assuming yes. That house he has on his private swamp has to be worth 1 million alone. Plus our taxpayer dollars going to his 117,000 salary for the past 4 years… I’m assuming he can make the rest of that 1.6 million up in what he was paid to scam people into buy credit cards.

You forget, no city contract is competitive bid. I suspect you must pay to get work for the city. Private contractors know not to bid. It’s already been awarded at more than the going rate using inferior materials.
A mayor must report there’s no conflict of interest via full financial statements.
Probably the best way to get to the bottom of this matter is an IRS audit back 7 years. With some RICO action, Diamond Lake could become a new city park.

He’s got to be in office when caught. There’s an executive privilege escape beyond a seated term. I can’t consciously vote for him. We must count on his groupie LAL clan, brain dead telemarketeers, & cemetery residents.

City hall is at 235 W. 9th St. not 10th. An error negates this document. The signature looks like a seated ass. Pun intended.
